BLESSED IWENE TANSI PARISH UMUDIOKA ANAMBRA

You know, I can bet you you're hardly going to step your foot on the grounds of Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish and not go, Wow!!! Given, you may not say it outloud, but you'll definitely think it in your heart. And here is why, it's beautiful, and it's clean. Like you just notice how everywhere is just clean.

My first and only time here, we came in very late for a vigil programme, and around 10:50 something that we walked in, that was the first impression I got- like the fact that it was at night couldn't dispel the fact.

Perhaps the most significant thing that strikes rather impressively is the gold statue of the 12 apostles that stand proud, tall and glistening in it's gold caste even under the night skies. I've never seen anything like it in any Catholic church. It's a move from the traditional style of a handful of sculptures scattered on the church grounds, if any at all. These instead stood brazenly adorning the facade of the church with St. Peter in an off-centre position, and the others forming a V behind him, while a representation of Jesus' ascension was cast on the wall of the church, in the very centre of the edifice, close to the roof and directly facing the gate.

And you know what, it was as if this whole arrangement was deliberately done to pass a message, like a testament to the catholic faith. Like it was kinda saying, Behold: The foundation of the Catholic Church. The very essence of our existence. The pillar and the forerunners of what we are today doing. The faith we uphold, the mass we celebrate. Beyond the aesthetic, there was a surreal bone chilling reality to it.

While I didn't get to go inside the church, you can clearly see it's quite big. To the left of the church building, there's a beautiful grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and to the right, an open air building which was where the vigil was held. I noticed also that the stations of the cross was beautifully cast on the walls of the fence. I could also sight what appeared to be a parish hall and the priests living quarters out back within the premises.

There's spacious parking space in the church grounds but there's a larger open space opposite the church, cleared out for such purpose as well. Let me not forget to mention that a good network of roads-good roads, lead up to the church, so be rest assured you'll have a smooth drive-in for sure.

And yes this is the parish of Rev.Fr.Emmanuel Obimma, while that has added to the novelty of it, may it not take away from the singular truth that God is present where he is sought in holiness and truth, and may we not forget, that we are the church. Not the priest, and definitely not the building. However, we thank God for making him a blessing to our generation.

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at the vigil, I look forward to coming back another time. Not sure when, might be some time away, but I look forward to when that'll be.

Blessed Iwene Tansi is a big Catholic Parish where God is using a man of God by name "Ebube Mo Nso" to bless humanity. A lot of miracle, signs and wonders take place there.
