I'd give this place a five star rating because of the luxury finishing it currently has. I wish the current standard is maintained. Front desk staff were friendly and receptive. They took their time to show us round the various rooms and finally managed our booking properly. Rooms are spacious and are as clean/serene as you would expect in hotels located in the city. Prices are affordable compared to standard. Highly recommended!

This is a nice hotel to bring your family to for fun seekers and campers. It has a pool, a children fun park, a quick-bite restaurant. The rooms are exquisite and the price is moderate when compared to other hotels that are not a franchise.

PROS

Very Sweet interior décor
Very thoughtful in their hospitality
Kettle + Tea condiments in my room
Many Stations on TV
Shower is strong (using a pump to boost flow)
Orthopedic mattress
40% discount on rooms so the Deluxe room is 12K down from 20K. (I added a photo of the Room Tariffs to my upload… look for it)
Free Breakfast (You choose 3 meals)
Swimming Pool (I didn’t try it)
Children’s Play Ground

CONS

I can’t think of any. Maybe the N3,500 for meals? (But check out the Menu List I uploaded)

MY REVIEW

Thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic, I haven’t travelled in awhile. Maybe that’s why Stratford Hotel was such a breath of fresh air. By the time I walked into the Hotel, it dawned on me that this was one of those hotels I normally can’t afford. Those type that start at N20,000 per night. As I entered the lobby, I was like, “Wow! Such a beautiful Hotel in the middle of no-where. A hotel like this should be in Abuja or Lagos.”

From what I gathered, the Owner is from Nkwerre so he is trying to bring the best to his hometown.

He has done just that. Tastefully furnished and very thoughtful in everything. As I looked around the room, I imagined how far they had to go to get the right materials and the expertise to put it all together. They went for a 5-Star Class and very nearly achieved it.

As I look back and compared the hotel to Eko Hotel in Lagos, I can see that Stratford can hold up to virtually everything.
Ok, no Buffet breakfast.
Ok, the freebies for Tea in the Hotel Rooms can be increased.

The best part is that everything is in good working condition in the rooms. I have a new respect for the Hotels in the Owerri area.
It’s the best N12,000 I have spent in Nigeria in a long while.

This is a cozy and beautiful place for both indoor and outdoor. It has spacious space for occasions and any gathering. It has pool, lounge and bar. It has nice services and it's secured.

Christmas 2019 was a blast at Stratford Hotel, Nkwerre.

Honestly, my time in the hotel was beautiful; from the atmosphere and to the staff.

Never got a chance to sleep over in the hotel, due to being fully book. But this year 2020, I will not carry last. My cousins & I are ready to shut down Nkwerre thanks to Stratford Hotel.

I’m so pleased with this hotel! It makes going back home to the village a luxury experience. Dubai in Nkwerre!
