I grew up thinking that this Catholic church was the cathedral for Orlu Catholic diocese. Until l was corrected and shown Holy Trinity Cathedral where the Bishop throne is. The church commands population as faithfuls are seen Sunday morning in droves going for mass as early as 6am. However, the Church is no go area during rainy seasons sometimes because of flood that takes over the surrounding roads

I believe St Joseph was among the oldest Catholic church in orlu district, if not the oldest.I attended my primary school then when they where called central school ll before they move it to Umudike .During the time of Rv Fr Ibeh going to church and to be a mass server should be your hubby then because there was a lot of fun then.St Joseph have produced a lot Big boys and big Ladies.
