Very big hospital with capable hands in health issues. One good thing I admire here is that they work as a team. A patient with special case is easily referred to and seen by different doctors in different specialized fields. There are banks within the premises and worship centres (churches, mosques) in it. Different schools (nursing, midwifery etc.), are located there in. A wide range of diseases are treated there.

It's a university teaching hospital. Mainly a referral hospital. Very good hospital with competent Doctors. I actually visited the Geriatric department the last time I was there.

This is one of the best Hospital in Nigeria with modern equipment, having minute failure rate in surgery.
Their medical records have been compared with the other standard medical centres in Nigeria and have yielded positive feedback proving that the results tally with the little research I've made so far.

Big lovely space. But that's only to be expected from the first and the best. I came here to get my COVID-19 vaccine and although they had run out, all the staff were very helpful. There are also many wastebins in place which is why there is next to zero littering. I am so impressed honestly.

In addition to undergraduate medical programme (Based in the College of Medicine of the University of Ibadan), the UCH also provides for: Postgraduate Residency Training Programmes in all specialties of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, Laboratory Medicine, Psychiatry, Community Medicine, Family Medicine, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Neurological Surgery and Dentistry.
The University College Hospital also provides diploma /professional programmes in the School of Health Records & Statistics, Environmental Health Officers Tutors Course; Primary Health tutors Course, Nurse/Midwife/Public Health Nurse, Nurse Tutors Course, Post registration Courses in nursing e.g. Peri Operative nursing and Occupational Health Nursing.

First Teaching Hospital in Nigeria with competent Health professionals. Treatment is being given base on the outcome of medical tests done. And always the best!

UCH kan, Ibadan kan (wink). This federal teaching hospital is attached to the University of Ibadan and it offers first-class training, research and medical services.
I can vouch for their 5 star performance in pediatric and adult clinical specialties, procedures and conditions. I'll score them well (7.5 out of 10 points) when it comes to process measures and outcomes.
They also do well when it comes to survival, patient safety, doctor/nurse staffing and other specialized health services. Their patients' accommodation (occupancy) however needs to be improved upon as their bed spaces are usually filled up.

Still a place with top professionals but they need a bit of automation especially getting a hospital management system for onbaording patients

The hospital is one of the known hospital in Nigeria and also recognised worldwide.
All medical facilities are present to treat various kind of diseases. Most critical illness are brought to the hospital and it has always been the last resort for any serious and difficult medical treatment in Nigeria.

I would recommend the private suites in UCH to anyone that can afford it. It takes away the need for lengthy protocols and doctors are readily accessible for a decent fee. The private suite/accommodation is also not bad at all and comes with room service.

It's such a wonderful experience good road network, there are Banks within the complex, Union Bank, Access Bank, FCMB,UBA. Standard entries, bukateria, Staff school, staff quarters, Lot's of parking spaces...
