Imo River

This River and its bridge is the boundary between River state and Abia state.. due to its abundance of minerals and fertile grounds, it serves as a source of water, an irrigation purpose for agricultural activities, fish farming, sand dredging etc.. Imo river bridge is one of the few oldest bridges connecting south south and south-eastern part of Nigeria. This bridge was built between 1991-1993 after Nigerian civil war..

A nice view of the Imo River. It's not a large one but has been of great to the economical activities of the regions by its side.

It makes you feel the presence of nature at it peak

Memories are made here. Histories were forged on the bank of this river. It's bordered by a number of states. Personally I got to the river via Ikot Abasi. I remembered watching the sea and gentle waves for nearly five hours. There is a marine police gunboat and Naval gunboat that patrols the sea. And it's also close to the Women War Memorial, Ikot Abasi. Nice place to be.

January 1, 2022. We visited Kalaibiama, OPOBO and Queenstown and experienced the Very rich culture. The colourful Otam, Nwotam masquerade with drumming and spontaneous dancing took the cultural carnival to another level.

My experience at imo river as a photographer was amazing. We went to shoot location photos and after travelling for hours, we eventually came upon a location as sweet as potato.

I am proud to be part them, because I beneficial from them

Imo river is an Asian developed area and been under new reconstruction.

Not a pleasant bridge to behold because the barrels protecting suddenly accidents in the river are all gone out. Be careful as you approach such location
