Bukit Jugra Paragliding Park

Great vista from this vantage point next to the Bukit Jugra Lighthouse. Had an awesome experience tandem paragliding, piloted by a well-seasoned & experienced paraglider by the name of Abg Mus.

It was exhilarating & heart-pounding at the same time; though it was only about 10 minutes, it was super-awesome (i am terrified of heights btw)

A nice hide out area. First arrived on Saturday, the place is perfectly pinned in the Google map, so safe to travel even to the top of the hill where driving is permissible.
I was there to sign up for a self paragliding short course, the place was already crowded with guests since 1030am upon arriving, some were relaxing hiking, mostly family and couples, some were waiting for the tandem paragliding appointment.
The little slope did manage to terrify me in the first place, as the view to the landing area all the way to the Malacca strait is clear, without any obstacles in front, so that it is easy for paragliding to take off.
It was my lucky day, the wind direction is best, against the slope, and the weather is great. After several took off before me after 11am where several paragliding masters arrived, I was attended by captain Ikwan who has much experience not only domestically, even in New Zealand, Australia and Europe. With the professional type canopy (huge, which allows high altitude and better controlling), we took off just in 3 seconds upon his instruction, by doing tandem, we manage to elevate our height even more than the took off area, with the jalur gemilang (Malaysia flag) he release from his bag, we gliding in the sky for almost 15mins before any landing to the landing site, and definitely one of the kind experience.
This Jugra hill does have a small cafe, at the junction before the drive up to the hill. While the landing site driving distance to the launching site only took 5-10 minutes, it is suitable for trainees to do the paragliding training here.
This place is about 15mins driving to the nearest town area Banting, where all types of amenities are available there.
The Jugra hill is indeed a relaxing place for families with kids, couples or any hide out for inspiration gathering, as long as the weather is good, even though not taking any paragliding activities.

Nice spot for paragliding, beautiful sunset scenery and windy. A bit pricey range fr rm 200-250.

A great place to go with children. We met the only Indian paraglider Mr. Hari. We learnt alot about paragliding from him. He is currently clicking to be a instructional paraglider. We wish him the best!!

wonderful spot for sunset viewing, suitable for family and friends. can be accessed by driving or short hike (~3.3km) from jugra trail head.

Nice place to start hiking... nice view.. sunrise and sunset.. A place to take a breath out of city...

Simple place .. moisture and good for walking .. even u can drive up with your car or motorcycle.. then enjoy the view 😊🤗
