Enjoy a simple, delicious food served by a consummate host by the river. Angeline and her husband established this first restaurant and two guest houses in this area 30 years ago. Menu has the key Malaysian meals. I enjoyed laksa and the set dinner menu (chicken curry with bamboo shoots/ferns. Breakfast was roti, homemade pineapple jam and two eggs. Delicious and the right price for the area. Make sure you ask how the cafe got its name. Try the local rice wine. Beer is available; just ask!

A homey meal after a day at the caves, Angeline makes her lovely food a comforting respite from all the adventuring.. I rocked up wanting to try local food. The dinner set for RM25 as of Sept 2023 was a good enough portion for one average eater.
I loved the pounded tapioca leaves and the sweet bamboo.

Stella has been here for more than 20 years now, and I've been coming here since the early 2000s. My recent visit on Sept 2022 saw no change in the place, except the price which has gone up due to cost of living.

Stella serves simple and good local food, with an interesting menu for all walks of life. There's rice, noodles, western, drinks and even beer. If you're staying at Mulu Marriott and want a change for food, this is the place across the bridge. Highly recommended, especially in Mulu with so little choices.

This was the best meal we had on our trip to Mulu. The menu consists of local dishes and a rotating selection of fresh vegetables. We tried nearly everything and it was all delicious. It's a one person operation so the food could take some time if it's busy, but it's worth the wait.

Very delicious food for the brakefast, lunch and for dinner :) Must try jungle fern and roti with fryed eggs for brakefast. The personal is very frendly. You can also buy water here like everywhere in Mulu for 5rm per bottle.

Das Frühstück, das wir hier jeden Morgen hatten, war himmlisch. Perfekt für Vegetarier. Wir hatten jeweils indisches frisch gemachtes und heißes Roti, dazu selbstgemachte Ananas-Marmelade und Spiegeleier. Traumhaft und sehr lohnenswert!

Good place to get carry out beer and soft drinks as the Supermarket is quite far from the Marriott . Great crispy chicken wings. Enjoyed the forest ferns. Watch for the up sell. We didn't try the wine but heard it wasn't the best.

The food here is simple and straightforward. The chicken wings are probably the best in Mulu

Ordered fried rice and egg and received extra. Rice with a sand, some vegan meat, oily egg. Rice was not fresh, but leftover from at least 2 days. Terrible experience.
