It's crazy how good and reasonably priced the food is. The chef was previously from Tai Thong restaurant as well as Concorde Hotel so the quality is what you would expect from a top class restaurant but at a more reasonable price. Who would have thought that it would be cheaper to eat such good food up in the hills compared to KL. They also have steamboat but you'll need to order in advance.

Try to book a table at the balcony as it's cooler. Look for Cindy who I'm told, is the chef's wife

Update: April 2023. The cook has changed. Food is below average.

Sept. 2022. We had a very satisfying dinner here. We had vegetables curry, stir fried mixed vegetables and seafood fried rice. Everything was delicious. The fried rice is a must. The rice texture is just right. We overheard a group of birdwatcher diners commented that the fishhead curry was good. Portion and price are reasonable. Service was efficient and friendly. The outdoor dining area was great for bird watching. There was a barbet nest in the tree. It was fun watching parent birds flying in and out of the nest. Cindy, the service crew could point out the location of the nest to you. We will definitely dine here again. Can't wait to try their signature Indonesian fried chicken.

Located within The Pines Resort Fraser's Hill, Pines Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were here for lunch which had an Asian menu. I am vegetarian and requested tofu which they managed to cook up claypot version which was not on the menu. Service was exceptionally courteous and we received our food and drinks quickly. We were also asked if we would like to sit outdoors which we did where there is a lovely view of the pine trees and surrounding greenery. Even though it was 1 pm, the mist was rolling in and very cooling. Servings were adequately sized and we got refill of hot water for our Chinese tea without having to ask. Definitely a place for a nice meal, lovely view and to chill out in the Fraser's Hill area.

This cafe is in Pines Resort. Good delicious hot meals in decent portion, good service, reasonable price and we enjoyed having lunch accompanied by green scenery. They serve western, Asian food and steamboat (prebook may be required)

Highly recommend for the location. Lovely balcony overlooking trees and a view of the hills. A group of birdwatchers were set up here when we arrived. They helped us spot a streaked spiderhunter flitting between flowers and the trees. Also a fire tufted barbet nesting in the trees.

Casual and good, friendly service. Western food is reasonable, the deep fried items like chicken chop and fried squid were very nicely done. Lamb chops were tough, so I wouldn't repeat or recommend that order.
Didn't get to try the other local fare though they look good. Maybe next time!

The food here was freshly cooked and tasted surprisingly good (compared to the other nearby places) with reasonable prices. The forest view right from the table looks great. They don’t have breakfast options however coffee is available.

Had steamboat dinner and lunch. Great taste. Very helpful lady named " Cindy". Very welcoming and food is extremely good.
Will be coming tonight again for curry fish head.

Food is slightly pricey but i wont complain cause food is nice. Good place for bird viewing as well.

Good Chinese food and a few selection of western dishes (Chicken chop, lamp chop etc). Staff managing the cafe is very helpful and friendly. Recommended.

Food was delicious, the price was really reasonable, and the portions were huge as well - this is a welcome surprise as most restaurants would take advantage of tourists due to the location. The lady who attended to us was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place!

Fast and great service from the owner. The Chinese dishes served were big portion and super delicious, especially the claypot curry fish head and sweet and sour chicken. Steamboat are available too upon request. This is the best place for halal Chinese foods 👍👍👍

Love their signature fried chicken. It's cripsy outside and juicy inside. It's Rm30 but the portion is big.

Their seafood fried rice is my favourite, 'wok hei gaogao', it's abit oily but acceptable. Fried rice wont be tasty if not oily right? 🤣🤣

The waitresses are friendly and attentive. The pine tree view is beautiful, if u are lucky, u able to find some cute birds.

Excellent food and wonderful service from this older Chinese lady, she was so friendly and recommended all their specialties which were absolutely delicious. Their fried chicken and hor fun was excellent and worth every cent. Must come and try if you are in fraser hill

Food nice but the the coffee beverage not nice..especially latte and americano. But overall the food and environment good and the price are reasonable for highland

We dropped by to rest, have a coffee and watch the birds in the trees. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Thank you to the kind lady who helped us spot birds.
