ASAM PEDAS MAN CATHAY

What a treat to find this gem of a stall in the heart of BP. Huge portion of jenahak fish head so fresh the flesh was flaky and delectably juicy. Assam pedas gravy was a slurp fest and side dishes were made with pride and love. Prices reasonable and we love the attentive crew! The best in BP! Will be back!

And 1 sirap bandung with 3 otak otak
All for RM33

Even though I paid cash, but I think I saw a qr code to pay online. Plenty of parking but you may need to cross a very busy road if you are parking at the other side of the road.

The crowd are massive at times which makes it hard to accommodate everyone due to the limited space of the place. But with their fast service, all can kaotim!

Man Cathay is always our first choice of asam pedas in Batu Pahat. Our favourite dish is pari (stingray) and red snapper. The fish served fresh and cooked right there in the open kitchen. The service is swift and friendly, parking spots also aplenty. Patrons should also try rojak, salted egg and fried egg as condiments.

The asam pedas ikan merah kepala is awesome and big portion. There are few stalls that sell asam pedas there . It's a must try. Lunch time is slightly hot though.

Open early in the morning for breakfast, fresh fish and fast service.

Sedap, tak pedas sangat. Layanan pekerja dengan customer pun sangat bagus. Makanan pun cepat sampai. Harga biasa biasa, tak murah, standard.

Kuah asam pedas yang tak terlalu pedas. Cukup pedas. Ikan pari dan ikan jenahak memang sedap. Sayur acar dan sayur tumis free. Tambah order telur dadar memang lengkap makan nasi asam pedas.

Semua sedap asam pedas. Perelokkan lagi tahu tempe sambal hitam dengan memotong elok bahan2 ini dan tidak hancur. Kena ada kipas kerana tak selesa terlalu panas.
