There are a lot of Chinese god statues here for praying. You can go in somewhat like a mini cave to see many interesting things like Chinese traditional gold bars, large fish in a mini pool. The temple is located beside the sea, can feel the sea breeze. Visit on weekday for a lesser crowd.

A religious Chinese temple at Kampung Segenting, Batu Pahat. Quite a different setup comparatively with other temples. Nice place to visit where the lovers bridge is perhaps 500n away from the temple. Typically located at a fishing village.

Have to drive quite a distance from town centre. Did not disappoint. The setup of the temple is unique, facing the river. The structure of the temple is also unique. Worth a visit if you have transport.

Visited this temple to touch the famous Arapaima fishes that give visitors lottery luck! Didn't manage to take a picture of it while I was happily feeling it's slimy scales. 🤣 Temple is not too crowded. It's actually a small temple beside the sea facing some lighthouses. Good to visit of you are in Batu Pahat town for a day or two.

If you are heading for a leisure trip to Batu Pahat, Chong Long Gong Temple is a must-visit place here. It is situated in the fishing village of Segenting, about 12km from the city centre of Batu Pahat.

This temple was built to worship the deity for blessing a safe return of fishermen from the sea and with a bountiful harvest. Interestingly, the temple was said to be unaffected during the 2007 flood, even though it is located right next to the sea. The locals believed that the deities had protected the area from the flood.

There are many deities, meticulously crafted and beautifully painted in this temple. However, the main highlight are the Arapaimas swimming inside the pond located at the foot of the Goddess Guan Yin statue. During the 1990s, words started to spread among the Chinese community that anyone who managed to stroke the arapaima will win the lottery. As a result, many temple devotees started visiting this temple.

I took a Grab ride to the temple during the late afternoon. After my temple visit and dinner, I wanted to return to my hotel. Unfortunately, I realised there is no ride-hailing service after having waited for 20 mins. Eventually, I had to approach one of the shopkeepers selling Cendol in the village for assistance. This helpful lady approached one of the villagers for transportation service and managed to find me a driver. The driver requested for RM20, but I paid him RM30 for his helpful service. So, if you have no transport and wish to visit this temple, please plan ahead with a driver to provide you a return trip. You can approach your hotel front desk or Google online for this transportation service.

Just got amazed when I heard that whoever touches the Araipama fish will bring good fortune and better luck than before. So, we went there for a short visit. Such a quiet & nice ambient.
A must visit place as the fish pond is placed inside the Chinese 🛕 temple.
We had a better experience as the Chinese temple 🛕 is situated right in the middle of the Chinese village.
So, for those who never had seen thosetraditional kindsd of Chinese village houses, they could be there to experience it on your own.
I had successfully touched the Araipama fish 🐟 a few times while witnessing many people are just coming in to touch it! haha 😄.. good luck, guys 🤝

Many people pray here. Even on rainy days, many people drive in. Parking here is rm4. It is said that touching fish here can bring good luck. The toilet is directly connected to the sea. This place is famous.

À really well maintain and beautiful Chinese Temple by the sea side. If you ride a bike, the friendly villager will guide you to ride through narrow path and to a nice open area to park and take photo. While they don't charge any entrance fee for bikes, I really recommend at less buy some joss stick/joss paper and offer a prayer at the temple. For the rest, à little donation to the temple will go a long way to help upkeep and maintain this beautiful location in Batu Pahat.

So glad we stopped. The best temple I’ve ever visited in Malaysia, and it’s free! The cave and winding pathways were fun to wander through, and the fish petting was a unique and memorable experience for me. It is definitely a great place for photos!

Its a wonderful and great experience to visit there, crowded full of people there. If you lucky enough to touch the fish, fortune will come your way. Peaceful place worth your time there, if feeling hungry or thirsty. Lots of stuff selling beside the temple.
