This is always our lunch stop before heading home from our holidays. Always good meals. Today’s special, Smoked Duck Pasta very nice just a little too sweet for us. Norwegian Salmon was perfect, the chips & veggies very fresh & flavourful. Same goes to the Forest Mushroom Soup & Homemade Scones.

Check out this cafe with lush green ambiance for all things simple yet chic. The best part is that it won’t be hefty on your pockets too. Not like other restaurants they take for granted on tourists hence the food is terrible.

After years of passing by going up to Greenhill, we finally walked down and had our dinner here on Sunday night without any crowd. We were not disappointed. Impeccable service, nice outdoor ambience, good food.

Recommend you guys to try their chicken chop and hot chocolate. Ordered their charcoal crab burger and spaghetti but both of these taste just okay for my preference. Atmosphere here is good. Nice place to dine in and chill

The outdoor seating atmosphere was nice. Food tasted great, especially the smoke duck. The potato wedges was super crunchy and with the black peppercorn sauce. Highly recommend. Price is slightly on the higher side.

Chicken Chop is a Western dish . I have not come across anything like it. BARRACKS CAFE AT CAMERON Western Food has always been favourite Chicken Chop shop cause they never disappoint. The chicken was tender and crispy, the sauce was flavourful and smooth.
The carbonara omg that was so delicious, well cooked, and my daughter order lamb chop she say this is the best lamb chop she have taste before. Overall 10 of of 10..

We ordered the special of the day, which was the Smoked Duck Pasta. You can choose between aglio olio or carbonara. It was amazing. Not the typical aglio olio.

We also ordered the BMH grilled chicken. Was very flavourful. The veggies were a bit smokey, which suit our liking.

Milkshakes were 8/10. Nice and not sweet.

Overall a great experience and would definitely come again.

The food didn't disappoint us, probably due to the long weekend while visiting, the restaurant was so packed and takes longer waiting time for our food to be served.

After all, the food is so tasty and the atmosphere is so comfortable. The curry soup can be thicker, that would be perfect!

On my next visit, I should try their renowned Charcoal Burger.

We visited this place last in 2017 when our 1st kid was 1 year old. Good to see the place is still running with almost similar settings. Good food, great ambience

Ordered their smock duck aglio olio. It’s on the spicier end but the smoke duck makes up for it. Ambience super nice especially after a small rain

Lovely restaurant! Such a beautiful atmosphere to sit in with flowers around.
Staff was very nice and food was amazing. We had the burger, pasta with pesto and ratatouille. For dessert we had the scones and brownie. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back :)

Bun with chicken curry is perfect for the weather and climate…
Food was on the notch. Caesar salad was our favorite too.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food they serve here, much better than many famous outlets back in the city. The Caesar’s salad was fantastic value, and the other dishes including the chicken chop, fish and chips and smoke salmon sandwich surpassed our expectations. It was also nice to dine in a pseudo outdoor environment, surrounded by beautiful flora. Totes would return on our next visits to Cameron.

Loved their food! We had their Ratatouille, Pesto Pasta, and Fried Chicken Wings.

Ratatouille: I expected other veggie selections, but taste wise it's great and it doesn't make you feel too greasy despite being covered w cheese. The sauce balances out the flavour.

Pesto: One of the few restaurants who nailed the flavour. I enjoyed every bite of it- it had cherry tomatoes and mushrooms as toppings. Though a great dish, I wish they sauteed the tomatoes first, and portion wise it wasn't enough for me 🥹

Chicken wings: served piping hot and fresh! I like how the chicken wasn't oily. The sauce was interesting, has a kick to it. Loved it!

I'd recommend the outdoor seating under the umbrella. Plant seats may have spider webs across though, observe well before you choose a spot.

Great food, great ambience. Aglio Olio was not the typical kind we expected, more like mushroom and capsicum sphaghetti, the chilli was shiok in the cold weather so we liked it. Was pleasantly surprised by the wild mushroom soup, mushroom taste fragrant and has bits of real mushroom, finally got to try real mushroom soup and not those Campbell instant mushroom soup. Charcoal burger has 3 options, chicken, fish and soft shell crab to choose from. Portion is huge and the fish fillet is super crispy. Will definitely visit again.

I liked mushroom soup(my husband didn’t like it at all😁) and sirloin steak was good, but about the honey lime drink, even though I’ve asked for less sweet, it was still too sweet.

Went there yesterday. Nice and quiet corner restaurant for a leisure meal. No frills, no service charge, and no SST (Government Services Tax).

Went there for a late lunch. There were only 3 other tables, so service was quite prompt. Had their smoked duck pasta (a special on the day of our dining), green pesto pasta, onion rings, scones set, brownies with ice cream, and iced chocolate.

The pasta was nicely done, and the green pesto with fresh shitake and brown straw mushrooms were a rather good mix. The brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream was really good. The scones were a little bit too dense for our liking. There are lighter scones around Cameron Highlands. Would have given 5 stars for food if it weren't for the scones.

Nice outdoor (sheltered) seating too.

All in a rather "standard cost" for a cafe lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids.

A nice option for all-day dining.

A places great for dinning, foods taste great, environments also great... Over all feels great to us.

Was pleasantly surprised to find this cafe when I was looking for food around the area. The weather was nice and cooling to be dining at the hidden garden. Love the lush green ambience.

That aside, food was yummy. Do check out their daily specials. Service crew was helpful & friendly.

Will definitely be back when I visit Cameron.
