Jaijai Coffee Bakery and thai desserts

What a delightful find in Betong. I am not a fan of sweet confections but Jaijai serves excellent desserts. The glutinous rice balls (tangyuan) was a taste bud delight with a quirky salty tinge. The cakes were pleasing to the palate with clear flavour and correct sweetness. Also, I enjoyed the strawberry latte which was creamy with right touch of strawberry flavour.
The premise is a chic fusion of modernity and retro; emulating the side by side servings of traditional and newer desserts and drinks. The clean smallish shop promotes a cosy feel and is operated by people who seems passionate about the business.
Polite and obliging staff rounds off a good experience I had with Jaijai.

Superb kuih! Thai tea is just nice. The best kuih i've every have compare to msia (on Santan and glutinous kuih)

Nice place to have coffee and chill after a long walk. Feel the retro setting with soothing relax songs. The dessert is wonderful. Highly recommend the Thai dessert.

Great cafe in town that is a stark contrast from it's surroundings in terms of service and food, yet retaining the old coffee shop charm of yesteryears.
Highly recommended!

I love this cafe because everybody is so nice and the beverage and thai dessert is so amazing.

These are not so sweet and rare Thai desserts; Hua Lan and Co which I never eat before.

I ordered 2 banana cupcakes with coconut topping, 2 pandan cupcakes with coconut topping, tangyuan with coconut filling and glutinous rice. Cost 60 baht only! The tangyuan is super duper awesome, fall in love in my first taste! Soup is a bit salty but suits my taste! The cupcake is 90% similar to the Malay cake in Malaysia (green bottom, white on top, pandan + coconut) and the banana cupcake tastes well with coconut topping!

A very nice couple running this cafe bakery, which we think is the best place for coffee. They have two coffee bean options, medium or dark roast made by the barista hubby. However, the highlight was the wonderful and die for cakes and desserts. All 6 pf us agreed that Burnt Cheesecake was nothing comparable in Malaysia, but those who tried the Pandan Coconut Cake fell in love with it and this is the patisserie wife’s own recipe! The creamy coconut paste with fresh Pandan coconut slices shown her passion in cakes. All her cakes are not too sweet but just enough to give your taste buds a really full experience. Her local desserts were delicious and gobbling down 4-5 of them without realising it may cost your waistline. Anyway, the one place you should not miss during your trip to Betong!!!!

Good atmosphere, cute decoration, and best spot cafe with good coffee/tea and yummy Thai dessert. Heard that the ChouCream is great but haven't try yet ka. The shop owners ( a lovely couple) are so friendly and very welcoming. Love to come here when visiting Betong. Also offer 'To Go' ^^

The thai dessert we had were so good. Can taste the saltiness of coconut milk and it balances the sweetness of the dessert. The earlgrey raspberry cake also just nice. The sweetness of raspberry compliment the earlgrey cake.

Food: Drinks are good, dessert even better. Ordered their traditional glutinous rice balls that consist of coconut shreds (reco this one)/sweet bean paste, and their banana coffee cake which truly surprised me.

Ambience: As previous reviews mentioned, strong wifi and good music.

Environment: Might seem warm from the outside coz there's no air-con but once you come in it's cool.

Modern cafe with traditional Thai desserts. Taste was good and good place to relax.

The Best Americano at Betong

I had hazelnut latte, it was unexpectedly aromatic, smooth and coffee taste was good. Highly recommend the glutinous rice dessert, each bite was like a mystery, each filling was different. Love everything here. ❤

Nice coffee and homemade cake not too sweet. I've tried Black Sesame Cake & Earl Gray Cake, really yummy.
