This place may sounds "touristy", but it is a lot of fun!!
The fishes are huge!!
The staffs will encourage you to step into the river and lure the giants to you.
Feed them by hand and they will such the fish food out from you.
Or, step on the mashed fish food and the fishes will give you a "feet spa".
Very engaging!

Truly amazing place. The fish are all big size and quite friendly to visitors. They allowed us to touch the fish. Not time restricition. Just play with the fish until you are satisfied. Comfortable place to sit by the riverbank. Pay only rm5 per person. Nice banana fritters sold before the entrance.

Such a great experience ! The staffs are so friendly, helpful and generous with us. It was a bit scary to feed the fish at first since the fish was huge and feisty, but it turned out to be so funny and fun when u got used to it. Would totally recommend this place for a great laugh.

Well maintained and good place to enjoy in the natural with all fishes around.
Excellent experience and wonderful memories here.
Staffs were friendly and helpful to share their knowledge with visitors.
Please be gentle and just take care of the fishes while spending time here.
Parents should always monitor their children to avoid unnecessary stress and safety to all the fishes. Thank you 😇🥰

Feeding pellets by hand to wild 'domesticated' fish at Bombon Kg. Marakau is a feat achieved by its local community to perfection. The koi, carp and empurau both fully grown and juvenile were twirling and feeding off the hands of their human benefactors by the riverbank in total abandonment without fear. It was a joyful moment to watch the feeding scene and hear the giggles and joyous squeals of surprised and wide eyed fellow visitors.
This phenomenon provides livelihood to stakeholders and to the 'feeders' with a deep sense of appreciation that we can develop some sort of a companionship with them. As a hobbyist, I derive a great sense of serenity just watching the graceful and effortless glide of my grateful companions in my fish tank

Simple and fun tourist place. Entrance ticket at RM5 per pax. Some of the fish here re extremely big! Interesting point to note.. you don’t have to fear the fish will bite you when you feed them because they re toothless! 😂 & kids love it too!! If you wanna let the fish “massage” your feet, pls wear shorts and slippers. Then you probably can go down the pond.

An interesting experience, you get to touch huge freshwater fish. You'll be given a small bag of fish food at the entrance, but the staff on site might hand you a few handfuls more.

Went early to avoid the crowd. Entrance fee RM5 with 2 small packets of fish pallets. Extra packets at RM1. Plenty of carps. Not scare of human. Wont bite as they are toothless. Best is to damp the food and hold tightly in your hand. The fishes will try to suck the food hence the experience. Dont be afraid to go into the river.

Unique experience for RM5 per person. Nice water and fishes to play around. Big koi fish and other fishes swims around ur leg as u feed em. One small tip is to hold the fish pellets like a fist and then let the fish try to eat them. They cant bite so its actually quite fun! U can touch the fishes with ur hands! Suitable for kids and family!

Bombon Kg Marakau entrance fee is only $5. You get to interact with big Koi fish and the native fishes in the river. The fish here are gentle and mellow, these fishes have no teeth, it will try to vacuum and suck the pellets from your hand while holding the pellets in a fist position. There are several staff in the river and they can help your group to take photos with your phone or camera. The staff would also provide suggestions on how to pet or better interact with the fishes. The staff would also provide some fish pellets if you run out. They will also remind or warn visitors if they try to carry or hold the fish. The fish here are very friendly, and since the fishes do not have teeth it does not bite. Parking is somewhat limited, so come early or be prepared to park further away and walk.

One of the better experience both kids n adults imo in Ranau.
Place is well organized with a good team. They will ensure place isn't overcrowded. The fishes are protected as briefings are provided.
Each group around 15 mins

The staff is very friendly! They taught us to feed the fish & gave us more fish pellets.
They gave us a food ball to put under our feel for 'fish massage'. Perfect!

Fish colour varries a lot. Love it.

You need to experience this at least once in your lifetime. The fishes are so big and it’s a ticklish experience. The kids were scared at first but they warmed up at the end.

It’s also a pretty place to take some good photos.

Great tourist attraction. Can improve by having more area to park & wider sandy sections by the river bank so that kids & elderlies can feel safer & more comfortable to get their feet wet to feed the fishes.

Another gem in Kg Marakau Ranau. Not your usual fish spa. This is the real deal. Your hand and feet are literally being kissed by at least 10 big Koi fish and Telapia fish at a time. A different kind of fish spa. Worth every effort to get here. Only rm5 per person. Do try. From Thewhitehairedguyandfamily.
