Cat Museum, Petra Jaya, Sarawak.

Very beautifully maintained collection of paintings, photos, postcards, ceramics and statues from various epochs and origins, some being for sale at reasonable prices.

As of our visit on February 20th, the museum is however no longer free of charge, but takes a nominal ticket price of RM3 for adults and RM2 for children, cash only. Just so you don't stand here empty handed.

Overall, the museum is small but features a ton of exhibits, so you can easily spend 30-60 min here and then enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

3. Do take note that there are no live or actual cats inside.

4. A very historical place to introduce to you about cats. Not only the type of cats in general, but also the cats in pop culture, music, painting, arts, etc.

5. The place is very well designed and unique. I don't think you can find any places like this in Malaysia except here.

6. The place is a great representation of Kuching, Sarawak as a whole!

7. Last but not least, you can get souvenirs here as well as varied from keychain, magnet, doll, toy, earring, etc.

You'll either love or hate this quirky museum. Is a bit nuts. The cafeteria in the same building is very goid value.

To those who love cat is a must to visit this cat museum, the ticket is not expensive, you can see a lot of cat related thing, include photo, figure, story, history and souvenier and more.
and actually this place was a disctrict office building, the museum was located in the ground floor.

The museum contains cat's history in different races, and also cat's real dead body maintained nicely inside the glass with control temperature.

Lots of cats statue and also collections. The whole museum it's not big, rather small but lots to read and see. Perfect for kids 📖😊

Overall this Sarawak Cat Museum is a good place to visit with knowing Cat Story. Personally I like it.

Here have so much details about cat, that you don’t know.. and the history about how the Kuching named after. Everyone should come here for this opportunity who like or loved cat very much. And All the staff really friendly. And also no worries if you mistaken leave your things behind. The staff will take care for you, until you collect it.

Actually my mom mistakenly forgot her handphone at museum. Then i chat cat museum, thank god they found it. Im so grateful to meet such a lovely Sarawakian people who very generous to help me.

Im from Johor Bahru happy to go Kuching again, people there are very polite and friendly. It’s such a calm place to drive. So peaceful to drive there. No ambulance or people honking.

Cozy place housing alot of cat statues. Takes 1 hour to go around, rm3 entrance fee. Would say that I'm most fascinated by their souvenir and spent even more time picking things I can touch and buy back home.

One of the must visit museums when you are in Kuching city. A lot of knowledge / information related to cats is here. An interesting arrangement. There is a gift shop inside the museum. Plenty of parking available. Reasonable entrance ticket prices for visitors. We spent about 1 hour in this museum. Friendly and nice staff and helped us find our way into the museum.

Awesome and interesting with funny and cute photos of cats. You get to learn knowledge about the history of cats in Malaysia with a few taxidermy cats. They sell cool stuff. I recommend you to come here if you are interested about history.

A novelty for sure. If you love cats you’ll love this place. I don’t like cats and I still enjoyed myself and learnt some new things. It’s a true A-Z of all things cats different stories, countries, artwork, figurines and stuffed ones. Plus it’s practically free, 3RM entry but you get a rubber souvenir bracelet. The government building its housed in is worth visiting too.

An ideal destination for cat-lovers. You can find everything about cats in this museum, from general to details. At first, I intended to spend time here around 30 minutes, but it took me to spend more, though I'm not a cat-lover 😉

A good place for families to come. Visitors can learn alot about cats and see some collection that was donated to the museum. Theres seating inside the museum. Dont forget to write in the visitors book.
