Quaint little museum showcasing local history, situated on a site where an old fort used to guard over the entrance to the Lukut settlement.

Built on hilly terrain so it may not suit everyone and there's virtually no wheelchair access.

Informative, good to spend a quick hour when you have it in a especially clean and well maintained grounds manned by friendly staff.

Located on top of the hill, the parking and entrance to exhibitions are free of charge.

There is nice view from top. The museum mainly showcasing the history of Kota Lukut, it's economy (mainly tin mining) and the culture.

Overall a good experience.

It's a historical place of Lukut. DO NOT come here if you have no interest in history and end up giving low rating. You will see nothing if you don't know how to appreciate history. For those who understand, and value the effort of the authority who did their best to maintain the place without any fee required from the public, please come and support this place. It's beautiful to my eyes and very informative. Do you know that Raja Jumaat built/designed the Fort of Lukut? Come and see how systematic it is. It was even recognized by British resident in the 19th century. Being Malaysian, I am proud of the work done! KL citizens must be familiar with Raja Bot because it's the name of one of the street in Chow Kit. He is the son of Raja Jumaat and was the last ruler of Lukut before it fell under the control of Sg. Ujong. Interesting? Then it's a must for you to come! (Sorry, not many photos inside the museum, my phone was overheated due to the hot sunny day). Oh, one more, please bring drinking water because it can be an exhausting climb. There's no stall or vending machine available.

Just a glimpse of old city. Although what left is only ruins but still was nice to imagine how it was in their heyday. And the museum is very informative about the old malays.

It got the mini muzium Lukut and the Kota Lukut. Manage to climb the stairs to Kota Lukut. The condition was made me a bit sad. The guards did told me that the Kota Lukut was not well maintain...and it is true. But you still can see the wall, trench, the entrance, well and high ground. I would like to explore more but worry if there is snake in the bushes.

fort was built by Raja Jumaat in 1847 and later controlled by his son Raja Bot. Located on a hill, it is in ruins and the area has been converted into a historic recreation park above the museum

Visit the muzium first then the fort. Then you'll appreciate better the fort as they're no signage at the fort site. Toilet amazingly clean with tissue available
