Highly recommended Ikan Kurau Homestay when you in Kuala Kurau. The owner turn an old house into homestay. Homestay here crozy, clean and beautiful with old antique item decoration. Owner here quite friendly and helpful, he will recommend best local food around. He got list of places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love the deck behind the house, you can laying down there for hours doing nothing, just feel the breeze, watching eagle and fish, best place for watching sunrise (3 hours laying down there to watch sunrise, listening to wave and watching fishing boat pass by). Night time just laying down at lazy chair, listening to jazz song (got player to play jazz song) and read some travel book. Here got lot of books to read. Really love this homestay. Due to on weekday, i am one and only customer staying here, so the whole homestay belong to me, i just take my own sweet time and do whatever i want here.

Highly recommended. Ikan Kurau Homestay is such beautiful & clean homestay with the most friendly & helpful host who recommends you the best local food around. The place's decorated with fascinating old antique items. It is so instagramable if you love taking beautiful pictures!! We especially love the deck behind the house where you could just laze around for hours doing nothing, feel the breeze, listening to the waves, watching fish & fishing boats as well as eagles diving for fish. Woke up early to watch the sunrise too. Amazing view!! Will definitely recommend this place to friends & will come back again!!

Beautiful house, with spacious rooms and comfortable common spaces. The best part is the back of the house which allows an awesome view of the sunrise.
The host is really friendly and thorough when introducing the area to us, recommending activities and restaurants.

This place is awesome. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Most people may not know that Kuala kurau is a food haven. The surroundings of the town just brings back many memories. The inn has a balcony facing the river making it ideal for fishing. Anglers, be sure to prepare your rods. But don't get too excited, you'll catch catfish most of the time. I caught 10 in an hour.the inn is very clean and peaceful. The facilities are all quite complete.And the view of the river from the inn is very nice. Definitely will be back. The inn may be hard to find at first because it looks like most of the other houses in the town , the inn has no sign , only a small symbol of a kurau fish at the front gate.

A good place to relieve stress and away from the city. The deck and hammock is a place to chill and spend time with your love ones. The house is amazing, bring you back to the olden days with the interior antiques and designs.

Nice and cosy place. Good wifi connection. Good design with lots of interesting little finds. Great common area for guests to hang out and chill. Books available for guests to read. Kitchen available for use. Great view from the balcony. Fish at the backyard or rest in the hammock to view the sunrise. Friendly host Mr Ng who will introduce all the good food in Kuala Kurau.

2nd time returned to stay here still our favour place to hang around and enjoy the slow life tempo of this little fishing village town. Host owner are friendly & will show you must visit places. Thumbs Up!

It's a good get away place for recharging your energy. A place to relax and have some peacefulness. Back to basic. Owner is very helpful with the places of interest around Ikan Karau.

Love this place. The owner have put in lots of hard work to make everything work well and photogenic. The sunrise from the back of the how facing the river is fantastic.

I can’t stop myself from raving about Ikan Kurau and Kuala Kurau to my friends. The hosts welcomed us in person and shared many delicious hidden food spots that are out of tourist’s radar. Appreciate that! I really enjoyed my stay here at Ikan Kurau. The patio was awesome. My room and also common areas were spotlessly cleannn! For those who plan to go, I would suggest a two-night stay. This is so that you have more time to enjoy the real kurau. I’ll definitely be back.

This is the most comfortable place I have ventured so far. Clean, neat and cozy for a group of friends for gathering.Definately i will be back for my next gathering
