My family and I had a great and memorable holiday in Kundasang. Firstly I would like express my gratitude to Anthony who manage our booking. He is friendly, professional and helpful. He always goes extra miles to ensure our itinerary is suitable my my family especially I have kids and elderly with me. He recommended places suitable for us that everyone of us enjoyed. I have changed some of the itinerary and he is pleased to help us to meet our expectations.

Secondly bravo to our guide, Joel and the driver ( sorry that I did not catches his name). Joel is caring and knowledgeable. He always helped my mum in and out from our van and carrying our luggages. He explained all the creatures, flora and fauna for our knowledge. The driver, drives very carefully and we had our pleasant journey on the road. We also requested some places during our journey and both of them without hesitations brought us to the destination safely.

I will surely recommend Amazing Borneo to all my family and friends. The most important things are we avle to witness blooming Raflesias which is my bucket list since I am young and my girls able to see and pet Alpaca which is their bucket list as well.

5D4N KOTA KINABALU HIGHLIGHTS & NORTH BORNEO CRUISES (July 2023)

We had a very good time. Our tour guide, Mr Richard, was very informative and friendly. The drivers accompanying us were also friendly. We stayed at The Luma Hotel in KK and Kinabalu Pine Resort in Kundasang. Both were not disappointing.

The scenery in Kundasang was so breathtaking. One day in Kundasang is definitely not enough.

We went to Sapi and Manukan Islands and did the water sports eg. Sea walk, para sailing and jet ski. We also went for the Sunset Dinner Cruise. We have plans to visit KK in future and will definitely consider engaging Amazing Borneo Tours service again.

This is the third time we joined tour arranged by Amazing Borneo (AB). Recent tours were 3D2N to hike Mount Kinabalu in Sabah on 2/4/2022, and 4D3N Mulu National Park – The Mulu Pinnacles in Sarawak on 29/7/2023.

There are 10 of us, we correspond with AB’s Anthony Wong to arrange the Mulu Pinnacles tour for us, Anthony’s service was exceptional, over the phone chat, he was responsive, patient and helpful to our inquiries and requests. Information provide by him was helpful for us to plan for the trip.

Our mountain guide Mack, was friendly and patient too, helping us to settle down in Marriot Mulu, coordinating our check in, gave us clear descriptions and timeline of the itinerary what to expect in coming days.

Mack was professional and patience, another mountain guide Andy joined us to hike Gunung Api(Pinnacles). Andy and Mack cooked for us at Camp 5. The food they prepared surprise us with such limited resources, very delicious. Frankly the meals they prepared were better than what we had in Marriot.

We were well trained to hike The Pinnacles (Gunung Api), Andy was leading at the front and Mack took care of the trailing members. Andy emphasized a lot on safety, which we knew is paramount, but most of us wished he had moved faster to make the trip more demanding and challenging, we are sure most of us are able to catch up. Of course we are grateful everyone returned to base safely, which was his prime duty. We had expected Mulu Pinnacles to be more cardio-challenging and riskier than Mount Kinabalu, due to its steepness, but coming down feeling Mount Kinabalu is tougher tells it all.

Overall, the trip was fantastic, Thank you Amazing Borneo, Anthony Wong, Mack and Andy for making it very pleasant for us to successfully hike Gunung Api to view the Pinnacles, the view is spectacular, everyone with reasonable fitness should try it.

We travelled with Amazing Borneo from 28 Nov till 5 Dec. Thank you, Carlotte who liaised with my wife and suggested a fun and age appropriate trip for my 3 kids (aged 7, 4 and 2). We enjoyed the line up.
Thank you to our amazing guides - Jonathan who picked us up on 28 Nov, Richard who accompanied us from 28 to 29 Nov. Thank you for helping us keep an eye on things and making sure it is safe for us and esp our children. We also want to thank the dive master, Marilyn (Bibi), who made our snorkelling trip a safe and memorable experience for our children. Tommy was with us from 30 Nov to 1 Dec. Tommy is knowledgeable and very friendly. He was able to answer all our questions and is ever so helpful as we toured Sabah Tea Garden, poring hot spring and the canopy walk. We would also like to thank guide Tan and the drive Wan who guided us on the Mari Mari Cultural Village tour. They were attentive and helpful

My children enjoyed the interactions with all of the guides. We are thankful that they are always professional and ensure that the safety and well being of the guests are attended to.

Enjoying our 5D4N trips with the tour guide cum photographer En. Shafiee. He brought us to the attractions according to the itinerary, explained the history of the attractions, helped us to take beautiful group photos, recommended us the local restaurants and souvenir shops. Kuching and its surrounding areas have so many to discover, and I think it is one of the underrated tourism places. For the first timer like me, I think engaging reliable local tours are definitely a good idea.

Unforgettable Mt Kinabalu Climb

Tatiana, Julie and Amy provided prompt responses and clarifications for all our questions prior to the trip. They were also very helpful when we needed to change our travel dates. The entire 2-day duration of the hike was very well organised with minimal waiting, good food and efficient transport between our hotel and Mount Kinabalu. Our guide Safrey was always punctual and very accommodating to our requests while frequently informing us of the best times to meet and good photo spots. He also had a wealth of knowledge about Mount Kinabalu, elevating our overall experience and allowing us to learn something new as well.

Our climb to Mt Kinabalu was only made possible because of our amazing mountain guide, Cornelius, who waited for us patiently as we took longer to finish the trek to and fro the base camp.

at the start of our ascent to the summit the next morning, it was drizzling , then it started pouring after reaching the checkpoint. the rocks were slippery and the rope elements were tough, but Cornelius and his team of guides guided the people so well! i am very impressed at their confidence and high level of professionalism. even though the weather was bad, we managed to summit and i got to see and experience firsthand the services of the guides. highly recommended to anyone who is keen to climb, but do remember to train! indeed it is not an easy climb but do-able !

Tour: Ranau Paragliding with Desa Cow Farm and Fish Spa

This experience brought me into a whirlwind of emotions and it is def one for the books! Madz kept me entertained and safe throughout the paragliding. The paragliders are all professionals and your safety is their top priority. They cancel all activities when it is raining. Lucky us, it rained after we all landed. We were also privileged to see the biggest flower in the whole world and it has 6 petals than the normal 5. This is an extra stop as the Rafflesia arnoldii can only live for 5 days and it was its 2nd day during our tour. Yung, our tour guide, was very accommodating and kind. He communicated well—English and Mandarin. He even gave us a free milk from Desa Cow Farm. Our driver is also very skilled. Book the paragliding package with Desa Cow farm and fish spa. All worth it!

Reza George was very accommodating and patient in answering all my queries about the tour. She communicated very well and gave clear instructions. She stayed with me until the end of the booking process.

Signed up for Beautiful Twin Islands Hopping, the tour guide Yung was super friendly, caring and patience. He provided clear instructions on the tour and safety briefing. We were provided options on the water sports and our family enjoyed it very much. The lunch was delicious and Yung took care of our dietary preference and ordered the lunch accordingly. The tour was arranged to avoid the crowd by boarding from private jetty. We were grateful for the thoughtful and well planned tour by Yung. Highly recommend to engage Amazing Borneo for any tour package.

Honestly, I seldom give out 5-star review. But for this trip, I definitely have to write a good review to compliment my mountain guide (Wilson Thaddeus, Wilfred Latius & Danson Bulangai), and also trip organizer Amazing Borneo.

Amazing Borneo as a very good trip organizer, from the start (make reservation) until end (handling certification) everything is well prepared. Make me & team feel safe and less worry about the whole hiking process. Especially when involve a group of people with different needs.

The 3 mountain guides that have being selected for us this time are the best of the best among my previous 2 times climbing experience. The safety briefing given is very clear and detail. They always take care of us, staying by our side and give us encouragement, no matter what situation we face during the hiking process. They also willing to share their experience, to make sure we feel comfortable in such unfamiliar environment and weather condition.

From what I see, their treat us more like best friend rather than just a company client. Definitely the best hiking experiences I ever had.

Pleasant stay in the Nepenthes suite and steamboat dinner was superb in the cold weather up in national park. Wonderful island hopping experience for day trip to Sapi n Manukan. Helpful staff and thoughtful arrangements by Amazing Borneo.

A last minute decision to trek Mt KK and able to secured the slot within 3 days confirmation. The company is professional via email and whats app. The hassle free arrangment make the trip perfect. Able to guide by experienced mountain guide Mr. Carl who had done more than 1000 treks over the period of 15 years. Look forward for next trek in Amazing Borneo.

Amazing Borneo is truly amazing. We have young & old in our group of 14 pax. The sale team, tour guide and driver did a fantastic job in making sure that everyone has fun. We also feel safe being driven around different sites. We just enjoy ourselves and did not need to worry about the administrative part of the itinerary. Amazing Borneo took care of all the necessary arrangement with the different vendors.

My friend and myself spent a whole week in Borneo, participated in 7 tours, all of them organized by Amazing Borneo Tours.

It was a really good decision to travel with them, as we could enjoy safe and convenient trasportation to the final destinations - many of them are outside of cities and Public transportation is not available or coming from Europe, we are not aware of usual travelling methods in Asia.
Most of the tours include one meal as well, I am sure I would have not gone to one of the local breakfast places by myself and would have not tried a typical Malay Sweet.

Joined the twin island hopping Sapi and Manukan Island with Amazing Borneo Tours and Events. Had no regrets choosing their services as staff have been very helpful and we enjoyed our trip. Communication has been brilliant, I had to reorganise my tour shortly before it commences of which is normally impossible, but because I had proof of ongoing flight and commitments, the agency passed this onto the organisers on my behalf and got it approved. They’ve been really helpful and I can’t wait to commence the tour in less than 2 weeks’ time! Thanks a lot for your help!
