View Point Dairy Farmstay & Campground

One of the best camping ground I've ever experience in recent years. The owner Sally, and her father is very nice to show us around the property. Lucky for us we were the only group there staying for the night, so we can explore the site at night. Mind you there is no electricity, and this a good thing so we can focus on camping with family and friends. The road going there is a bit challenging but it is WORTH it. So again, thank you. we will certainly be back again.

Calm & serene. A bit secluded. You can see the whole Ranau town and the majestic Aki; best of both worlds!

7km dari Ranau. Ikut jalan mamut. Jalan half tar half gravel. Not bad. Kereta kecil blh sampai. View nice blh tengok seluruh ranau n half kundasang.But cannot see mountain. I came during rainy day, so din catch the sunset. Wake up late so din catch the sunrise also. Owner said it's very nice view for sunset n sunrise. First time solo camping. Feel awesome, nobody else but 1 dog to accompany me. Manage to hike this place. Looking for the cows but they're not there. Overall, this place is good for camping but lack of amenities.

Summary,
Campground view is superb, from the front can see ranau town & at the back can see mount kinabalu. very cold at night and super hot at day (this is normal).

The ground space actually a lot of space, but was not well maintain. the space facing mount kinabalu got so many cow dung. at the front was very limited can only fit 5 tent.

Hygiene is ok, not gonna complain on this one. If you want hotel like toilet, then dont go camping. so far toilet is good, got kitchen area & water supply is good enough. only the downside is again the cow dung, some sink wasnt clean, maybe because of no customer for a long time. but im ok with this one.

Road access is extreme. 3km of very worst road ever from all my camping trip, 3km can take about 30-1hour to reach campsite. Use 4x4 should be good.

Conclusion;
The place is actually nice but I can see not many people going here, some of the facilities like the camping platform like in the picture is not there anymore, the bench in bad condition, grass was a bit long. due to no guard at the site, stray dog will wandering around your camp waiting a chance to steal your food and very noisy at night. But due to the road was like very extreme, it feels like a reward after reaching the place. nice view, quiet (not until the stray dog start fighting).

Advice for other camper, use 4x4!! or you going to cry. lol
For the owner, keep up the place cleanliness it can be a great campsite. camp platform is unnecessary but the cow dung can be reduce, reserve a space for the cow and more for the camper.
