Great experience camping here on last August. The tent was provided by the staff. They put up the tent for you. Enjoy the view with bbq beside the hut. Got a clear view of Mount Kinabalu. Just set up your gears and wait till the cloud clearing its way for a majestic view.

Went there like a year or two or three ago. Wanted to write this the moment i left the place but only remember to do so after years hahaha sorry

All is good. Love it. Clean. Beautiful view. Friendly staff.

One thing tho:

We wanted to rent a karaoke set. I asked the receptionist for the quote and she mentioned it was RM 15(?) (she made a mistake, it’s actually RM 20, which is slightly higher). BY THE WAY this is years ago, i might be wrong on the exact rental price. Sorry!

When it was our turn to use the karaoke set, because I dont have small change, i gave them rm 20, expecting to get my RM5 change back. But never got it.

The next morning I went to the reception and ask the lady “aunty yesterday i paid for RM20 for the karaoke machine but never got my RM5 back. You said it was RM15 right?”. And she says “eh no. It’s RM20.”. Confused, I just let it go thinking I must have been drunk and misheard the amount.

The moment we checked out, the aunty came to me and hand me back RM 5 saying “ I must have made a mistake informing you about the rental price. In return we’re refunding back the RM 5 to you.” I was like WHAT?! ANGEL! I mean I don’t really blame them, they were busy and mistake is inevitable. Also she was pretty nice and was very polite so I never had any hard feeling towards her or the camp site. I made sure to tell them that it is okay and declined to get the refund back.

It’s so hard to find an honest business these days. Most of them go out of their way just to earn some extra cash. Some even opt to scam. But I can guarantee that this place is none of those. They are very honest about their business, and really do their best to provide the guest with 5 ⭐ service as well as stay. Owner and staffs are very very friendly too!

Till this day I still remember this incident and still think about it whenever I lost my hope towards humanity. ❤ such a kind soul.

Can’t wait to find time and go back to this campsite again!!!

AMAZING CAMPFIRE SITE! Great river, its shallow (but it is what makes it safe for kids), the river's current are great and the water is clear. Dont forget the water is very cold 😆❤ Sounds very refreshing right? You can rent tent, mattress, children swimming equipment, canopy, open hall and bbq equipment. They also provided rooms in case you dont want to experience real camp, they have a restaurant in which you can order food if you came with no food supply. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they provided shower rooms with hot shower, toilets amd prayer room. Is it clean? YES! They wake up 6 am every morning to clean the toilet. I hope my review help you guys.

You can drive your car directly to your camping site. We rent a homestay (for my mother & comfortable toilet use), a tent & a canopy. It is cold during the night as well as the river water. We brought our own food.

A good place to relax with family and friends. Quite crowded during weekend. Early booking recommended. Great view of mount kinabalu in the late evening and early morning ( if it is not raining). Clean river mo mandi siok. Great alternative to polumpung view campsite ( polumpung is only across the river) .

Pro:
1. Place isn't overcrowded compared to the other nearby campsites.
2. The river water at this campsite part is more forgiving and shallow so you can play with your kids with no worry. This is really important.
3. The house (RM550/night) that we booked is huge but not directly facing the river and the mountain. To get those views, you can book the RM600/night house.
4. The view of Mount Kinabalu is more clear with less obstructions from this campsite.
5. There is a cafe, operated by Muslim, within this compound. We didn't eat there since we brought out own food, but the smells are good.
6. There is also a mini saundry shop.
7. Toilets for campers are clean, and enough.
8. The place is really cold most of the day.

Cons:
1. There are dogs moving freely inside the campsite. Now I don't hate dogs, I even wish I can pet them but let's discuss in terms of hygiene. I spotted a few drops of poop early in the morning and that's not a great sight to behold. If the dogs are theirs, I just hope they are to be put on leash somewhere nice and comfortable. I brought my daughter with me too, so her safety while playing around becomes an unnecessary concern for me with the dogs being there, unleashed.
2. The entertainment provided in the house doesn't suit the price. On night time, there are nothing much you can do except BBQ and chit chatting. However, we are expecting that there are more varieties of the TV channel. Internet coverage around the house is pretty much unusable, for almost every telco. You have to go outside or use the wifi provided around the cafe. But if you want to be really disconnected from the world, this might be what you're looking for.
3. There are constructions going on within this campsite. I just wish it can be done as fast as they can since it would expose the campers to unseen hazards.

Suggestions:
1. This campsite area is vast. A medium size playground for childrens would be appreciated since the water is too cold at some points, there are children who aren't interested to take a dip.
2. Put up some light poles to illuminate the area little bit more.

Nice place to stay the night. View of Gunung Kinabalu. The streams. 👍 Recommended place to go with family or friends.

from my experience, this site has wonderful views of mount kinabalu, lovely staff, soft spoken and polite. big field with plenty of space for camping, The room is clean and safe, clean toilet and good shower, food from canteen was delicious and good service. overall my stay here is amazing, spend my quality time very well with my friends and family, definitely will come back again. thank you for the good hospitality.

Wew! There is that one place that is so satisfying for being there. Even only for one night but it is given me so much wonderful experience, the view, the river and camp site was all a perfectly fit for time escape.. 😌 everyone's should try it, go here...and feel it yourself 🎶🎶

Beautiful view of mount kinabalu. Good for mind & soul detox. Back to nature. Room are big with 2 queen bed + 1 toilet. Don't expect a 3-5 star facilities but we come here for relaxing from city lifestyle. There is fish spa at the river nearby & hanging bridge.

Nice view. Air jernih. Sejuk. Feel free and relaxing. But sometimes, deras ya amat.

This is a great place for family outing esp with younger growing up children. The river is shallow with fast rapids. Its a scenic place with mount kinabalu as back ground. (need to wake up early tho). Theres camping tent and canopy for rent. Its also provided with permanent shed right at the bank of the river where you can layout your tent and do the bbq. Theres a power outlet and a light at the shed. So you can bring your electrical gadgets as you pleased. It is limited so you have to booked a few days earlier. Remember theres a lot of people and its a camping site. its an exciting place so its loud.
