Tawai Rainforest Camp (TRC)

Nice waterfall, 6 km to get there by foot and then another 6 km to go back. Get ready for 7 hours of walking. RM150 fee for guide every 5 hikers. RM5 entrance fee. Nice rainforest.

Nice place to camp & enjoy some swimming in the river and go for a little hike

Not bad for hiking I see. It is about 11km hikes. You need one or more preparation before deciding to go here, track are rocky and slippery and of course muddy on rainy day. You’ll need proper shoes and any other attire for hike there on the exposed sunlight just in case you are prone to sunburn 😂 and also not forget to mention to bring food and snacks with you all time. You going to need it for sure😆😆 when you reach the top, you will go down about 300m and then you will see one of the most epic waterfall in Sabah. If you’re lucky, you get the swim on it.. Wonderful memories i love it ❤

Crystal clear water in which you could literally see fish swimming on your feet and air so fresh.... Much needed break.

Nice place to visit. Has a hiking track. But we did not try it cause its about 8km! We did not overnight here. Came here in the morning just to dip ourselves in the river. After bath we bought some yummy stall food. Enjoyed it.

Great easy way to gain your first experience of the rainforest. Crystal clean water and swimming in a small plunge pool with the fish! Beware...water cold!

Great place to spend time with family😍

Tawai waterfall it's a perfect place to get fit.Approximately it's about 6km-ish to the Waterfall, and other back.

Trails are clear, took 2 hours to reach(depend on your fitness level) and 1.5 hours down. Make sure bring enough water to stay hydrate and sun protector as you will get sun burn easily.

To the Waterfall it's up up up.

If it isn't raining, there aren't many leeches. But put on a pair of L.socks in case.

It's a little slippery on the way down. So a trekking pole will help.

You'll cross two small streams (bigger if it's raining). Some waterproof shoes will help (or a pair of dry ones waiting in the car on a rainy day).

It's worth a visit, if you are in the area or passing by.

Personally, it's more epic when it rains, the Waterfall is more intense. A little cold, so put on one more layer.

Lastly, don't litter. There are some garbage at the end of the trail, bring in a bag to clean it up if you feel like it.

We spend 2 nights sleeping in a tent and had camp fire. There showers and toilets, a river is just in the back and a lovely area to hang out and BBQ. There i salso a roof under you can put your tent on a concrete floor or rooms are available. We went to Tawai Waterfall, 2nd highest in Sabah, it is one way 5.7km hike, not to steep or long, duable.

Breathtaking 95m tall waterfall. The guide is rm100 for 10pax, u need to travel another 20mins from tawai rainforest to the hiking point. The road is quite bumpy, better to access using 4WD. Transport can be provided at rm5per pax, need to arrange early. Definitely coming back again. There is another hiking trail peaks of 4 which I'm really interested at. Love mother nature!

A place for picnic, swimming and discover Borneo rainforest. Tawai Rainforest Camp has 7 level pools for kids and adults. Tawai is the name of a waterfall nearby which can be reached by 2 hours walk through old and unused logging road. Ask the front office staff to know more about this natural waterfall.

6 km hiking with beautiful of diversity and most epic waterfall. You can enjoy the wonderful nature.
