Ratha Curry Fish Head

Yes, we travelled far out to enjoy the best of fried chicken , generous serving of curry fish heads , curry sotong and many other delicious items. A busy place to eat but that add to the atmosphere of a good diversity & adventure of tastes. This is one place credit cards are no power or garang at all - only cash is king! Memorable foodie experience for sure.

Had difficulty to find for this restaurant. It’s opposite of secret recipe/KWSP raub. Thank me later 😉
Worth the price and effort. Hope they maintain the food quality.

Stopped by here during my recent trip from Cameron Highlands to KL and was recommended this place by some locals. I ordered their rendang chicken with rice and I would say its one of the best curry rice place I ever had. The curry mixture are so fragrant, a burst of flavors from the spices and rendang chicken is nice and tender and well marinated.

Totally one of my favorite curry house from now onwards.

Really nice food served here.
Grilled lamb was a shocking one, nice flavour with just nice tenderness and juicy texture.
Fried chicken tasted good, curry chicken taste even better !!
Curry fish head was also something to order if your with your friends or family.

Came here for breakfast at 9am. Couldn’t tasted the fish head curry. But had curry + kambing goreng. Sedap berdepot.

Raub, also known as Musang King Town, is not only famous for durian. About 20-30 minutes further up from the popular one-day-trip town of Bentong, Raub also has its own charm.

For the uninitiated, Ratha Curry Fish Head is already famous since the 80s. Some of the famous patrons include the royalties of Pahang and the infamous ex-PM 😬 for me, my fondest memory would be my dad bringing back their curry fish head after working trip in Raub.

Their signature dish ie. Fish head curry (RM65 for small) is cooked in a thick gravy with a well-balanced flavour of spicy and sourness. You will know upon first taste that this is a great-tasting curry from the colour & aroma itself. Ratha's uses their house blend of herbs& spices and to concoct their very own special curry paste uniquely to them. Portion-wise enough to feed 3-4 person easily.

Some of the popular dishes include fried lamb chop with spices, fried chicken and sambal sotong.

Note: They also have branches in Damansara Utama and Gohtong Jaya - can't say much for Gohtong Jaya, but I'd tried their Uptown outlet and safe to say that the taste is similar (if not the same) as their original one.

one of my favourite places EVERR. has one of my most favourite food in the world which is Kari Kepala Ikan Ratha & Kambing Goreng with nasi panas-panas🤩🤩 soo goodd. the Kari Kepala Ikan & Kambing Goreng is just top notch, superb, nothing else to be said. We usually come here and order only these dishes as these are their signature and we love them so much too. drinks here are also good with a variety to choose from. seating is ample and comfortable as the restaurant is partly open air. ambience also nice and location also very strategic, by the main road leading to KL and also in the middle of Raub town & on the main junction in Raub town too. this place also got the recognition as the best Indian restaurant in Pahang by the Pahang State Government, so that totally says lots about this place 🤩 definitely a must try when visiting Raub, you won't regret it. overall, very good experience here with super good food and as a comfortable and compulsory stopover when traveling to KL 😆. should come and definitely recommended👍🏼

Superb South Indian cuisine.Mutton was superb, squid was flavorful,fish was fresh and chicken was juicy.Friendly staff.Unfortunately no banana leaf offered.Parking is a bit limited as it's a corner shop but also available across the road at the side and also alley behind the shop.Pricing a lil steep for Raub standards but throughly enjoyed the food.Restaurant is an icon of sorts in Raub especially famous for its fish head curry.Must try when in this part of the world!

What a delightful discovery to have found an excellent curry fish head place in this charming town. The fish head curry is so tasty, the fish is fresh. It goes really well with their roti canai. Their fried chicken is well seasoned, crispy on the outside, succulent in the inside: a must order. They also offer fresh cow's milk here. A must go if ever you are in Raub.

Famous curry house - sambal sotong is sublime!

The best curry in town. If you are from KL to KB or vice versa you should find this restaurant. Make sure your stomach is empty. Hahahaha

The fried chicken was so good 9/10. Their curry chicken was nice with coconut fragrance but a bit spicy 8/10.

Nice Curry spice and prata. Nice crispy chicken comparable to KFC.
Enjoy the food much.
Especially Curry fish and nasi berani.
Down side would be the parking area, challenge.

The food was really superb and delicious especially the mutton varuval. The place was very clean and tidy. Service was good. I would highly recommend this place. Recommended to try this place and i fell in love with the curries here. Ordered their rendang chicken and its so tender and flavourful and the curry mixture was to die for. Super happy I came here.

Ok let's get one thing straight- Ratha gets the roti canai and curry spot on (well for me!). Superbly crispy and chewy roti nailed right with the right amount of spicy and spice in the curries. *chefs kiss* also tried the nasi biryani, fried chicken, bitter gourd and we inhaled the generous portions in a flash. Soooo goood and fairly priced.

Our go to place for roti canai, curry ayam and ayam goreng, whenever we are on our way back to KL from Kelantan.

Theres something special about their roti canai, its soft, fluffy and has hints of sweetness(maybe they use condensed milk in their dough?).

Their chicken curry is just awesome. Cooked with their own signature curry powder(sold at their restaurant). It has a satisfiying kind of spicyness(chilli powder?) that will leave your forehead sweating after each dip. I usually have my roti canai 'banjir' style with their parpu kari, which is also awesome on its own but better paired with the chicken curry.

The ayam goreng on the other hand looks pretty normal, however the taste is simply mesmerizing. You can taste the flavours of the secret marinade upto the bones of the chicken. Makes you think that it is brined in some magical marinade of sorts. Its also very juicy.
