DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort

Great hotel for a family vacation. The main highlight is of course the swimming pools with multiple slides for the kids to enjoy. The kids' club is amazing as well with lots of things for kids to play with. The beach is also very accessible from the hotel and clean. Flies are still there, but I believe is much better now compared to before.

Great for family with young children not so for couple holiday... had there been a separate adult swimming pool area this hotel would have been perfect. The staff are very helpful hospitable.

Great hotel, clean and well maintained. The pool side is big and suitable for kids in every age... every saturday night got fireworks show...
Cons:-
only the location is too far to get in(from main road) and very dark at night...

This is not the first time I have visited him.
I have visited it about 10 times and I love it very much.
The location is amazing, the nature is amazing, everything is perfect
Only the last time I visited there were monkeys and that was not a nice thing at all and very annoying because they jump on you and take your food and eat the guests' food.
The food, location, rooms and facilities are excellent, comfortable and safe all day long

A very nice resort nestled in the forests of damai laut. Staff there was extremely helpful especially Mr. Vishnu who helped us since the day we arrived and Ms. Linda who helped us understand the Hilton Honors program really well. The breakfast was excellant and tge buffet dinner at Makan Kitchen was also good with array of dishes like lamb racks and more. The buffet dinner at hotpot was also just as good. Room service had plenty of food choices as well. I would say the resort itself is food paradise without the need of going of out especially since it is quited isolated. Rooms were good and comfy with staff ready to help you 24/7. All in all it is a very good and interesting experience.

Such a lovely place for vacation with family!!! The staffs are so helpful and service was superb. The recreation area was amazing, and we had full 3 days 2 nights there. Once in, there's no need to go out. You can Grab food here or can enjoy at Makan Kitchen

Excellent resort. Spacious rooms with the necessary amenities (plugs, fridge etc.). Nice outside seating for breakfast. Really excellent service staff: friendly attentive engaged. From the main road it’s a long way to go, though.

Booked 6 rooms with large families
- Location very privacy and peaceful
- lots of facilities (mini water park, kids club, nearby beach with activities, had oppurtunity for firework shows during the weekend too!)
- room very clean and comfortable (not much too complaint)
- check in check out very fast
- breakfast awesome! lots of variety
- very welcoming with communications through whatsapp direct from the office!
- wifi connection very good

However,
- Location quite far from main road and other amenities so need to prepare for the f&b etc
- monkeys sometimes can be quite disturbing (snatch bread from my kid!)
- distance from room to other facilities quite far to each other need to walk a bit/with staircase etc

Stayed for 3D2N. Room is superb with comfy bed. Pool and mini waterpark for kids is excellent. My kids loved it. Breakfast spread is great with their signature Teh Tarik. I'm a picky eater but the food taste is just fine and acceptable, unlike those I read from somewhere else who complaint about the food. I loved the fluffy croissant. Breakfast for kids just add RM29 per person only during check-in. Just some tips, if you don't want to spend too much on food for lunch & dinner at the resort, please bring any travel food or else you can just order via Grab but need to wait at least 45 - 60 mins. Overall service is excellent and will definitely come again.

It was a pleasant experience. Thank you to Zhi yi and veronica from the executive lounge. They were very warm and welcoming. Also thank you to Jason and Fara for being very concern as one of our family members became unwell. Overall all the staff are friendly and helpful. Facilities are great too esp the swimming pool and the gym.

However there were lots of flies and i guess the food at the dining place might be contaminated. My husband fell sick first followed by my daughter. I was informed that the fly problem has been there for a long time. I guess it is not acceptable for a 5star hotel. I hope something can be done before more people become sick.

The hotel was refurbished two years ago and now known as Doubletree by Hilton. My family and I booked two rooms and both had a good view, were clean and comfortable.

Our stay was from Sunday to Tuesday. We noticed that the weekend crowds were at its peak on the Sunday when we arrived. There were many families with young children as the hotel has a waterpark. Fortunately, the crowds thinned out over Monday to Tuesday.

The service personnel were good and attentive.. Communication with their service staff was quick and efficient via WhatsApp.

The hotel focuses on good tasting Malaysian fare.

We also had good experiences at their spa. Good value for money.

A word of caution: beware of aggressive monkeys 🐒 and flies.

Love everything in this place. From arrival till departure. Pretty challenging during check in as when its high occpancy you need to be patient and Hilton served cookies as it's their signature. Food was amazing and the mini water part exceeded my expectations. Also healing place called Eforea Spa was superb. Staffs very helpful and friendly.
100% love and definitely will visit again.

stay here for 3D2N, my kids was very happy while staying here...the pool was great...suitable for every age..breakfast was delicious and room was great...only 1 small problem..to much fly ... you can become expert after that because hotel did provide tools to kill the fly😆 and also they have access to the beach

We had a Great and pleasant experience with DoubleTree Hilton Damai Laut. Spacious room for family with 2kids, Calm and peaceful private space, Breakfast was delicious.

The beach are clean and not crowded.
A lot of activities can be done.
Snorkeling & island Hoping was really fun with family.
Banana boat and Atv too.
Not to forget, the splash pool is superb.

Staff was realy helpful. Thanks to (Haikal the Lobby Receiptionist and Naemah the Restaurant Receiptionist) and the rest of the team.
Playroom for kids also have a really kidfriendly staff.

Our family’s 2nd visit. Love the fresh look after renovation & refurbishment in 2022. Imagine waking up to a tropical paradise surrounded by lush palm trees. Hotel offered impeccable service, breathtaking views, clean spacious rooms, gym facing perfect sea view, pure luxury with a touch of island charm. Good getaway from KL with a 3 hr scenic drive. Special mention to En Rabani for making our 27th wedding anniversary special with his attentiveness during our meal and organising a special cake. Big thanks to F&B Manager Mr Paskaran in going the extra mile to dish up vegetarian meal for my hubby while our family enjoyed the breakfast spread. Such gestures and warmth from passionate Hilton staff surely made a difference to our stay. Generally all staff were courteous including the guards & cleaners.. Kudos! Sure to come back👍

We went to Pantai Remis to attend a wedding dinner and decided to try out Doubletree by Hilton Damai Laut. We were first put into a room on L1, but the room has a humid smell. After complaining to the reception, we were upgraded to a sea view room on L5. The room is fabulous, clean, and has a comfortable bed. The breakfast variety was good enough, and the service from the staff was very good. Overall our stay was enjoyable and we will come back again.

I would give 5* for everything facilities/room and customer services/activities/food in this resort except the management may have overlooked in only 1 suggestion which needs improvements. It is difficult for old people who have weak legs and also parents with baby stroller to get to the poolside and Makan Kitchen cafe for breakfast, lunch or dinner. No matter how far the old people in walking stick or walking pushing a baby stroller, they still have to go through a flights of narrow stairs to get down. Please kindly look into it as your resort is one of the best in the country which I have been. Thank you.

This beautiful resort hotel offers a pleasurable stay. Overlooking mesmerizing seaview with Pangkor island at the background surely will captivate your scenery.

The hotel offers lots of attraction and activities from morning till night. The main attraction is of course it's waterpark and swimming pool. Kids will surely enjoy it's slides and splash bucket. Suitable for kids of all ages. Do take note it's strict dress code at the swimming pool. Parents are needed to be with their kids at all times. Security personnel will not allowed kids to play in water without any supervision.

Early check in possible provided the room is ready. I managed to check in at 12.30pm.

Dining at the hotel is memorable. It's dishes were delicious. The portion is big even for 2 people. At morning, be prepare to be spoiled with it's buffet. Offering many kind of dishes ranging from the classic Malaysian breakfast to oriental dishes. Don't miss it out. You can also opt for Hotpot treat, but you must make reservation beforehand.
The only downside is the presence of numerous fly which is noticeable. The hotel did take some measures to ensure the situation was under control.

There is dry playground for kids, basketball court, water sports activities (jet ski,banana boat) and also outdoor activities (atv, buggy).

There's also Kid's Club which closes at 10pm.
The pool is open from 8.00am till 7pm.

All in all, the Hotel staff was friendly and attentive. Hotel area is huge, expect elderly people to struggle as some areas are difficult to access with lots of stairs and ground to cover. The toiletries are really nice and expensive quality.

Definitely will return and its indeed a pleasurable stay for my family. It's worth the price.Tips:
If you are looking for a great sea view, book the executive room. Normal sea view room is semi sea view with some trees and landscape blocking your eyesight.

Beautiful and nice scenery. 5 star service by staff, marvelous breakfast with many choices of dishes provided, clean and wonderful water theme park. Hopefully can repeat it again

A great & nice place with a beautiful scenery. I would say it's one kid-friendly hotel that we will definitely coming back to. All of the staff are warm, friendly, and very welcoming makes you feel comfortable along your stay.
