Lata Merkor or Geruntum Falls

You can drive all the way there through some mountainous roads (be prepared for tight squeezes and masterful moments of letting other cars and trucks get by).

The waterfall itself is super fun to play in, there were only locals (bar us ofc) when we went on a Sunday and they all played in the lower pool. We ventured further for some privacy and had a lot of fun as we found a smooth declining rock which resembles a water slide with the current taking you with it. Water was perfect temperature to cool down from the blazing sun.

Would recommend as a spot to checkout if you have a hired car. You will have to pay for parking if you go all the way to the carpark as well as 1 or 2 ringgit if you play in the water. Totally worth it for us 😊

Our waterfall abseiling experience was very good. There was safety maintained by the staff but always recommend that everyone should be a bit careful. You may also carry mosquito repellent as well.

I didnt go all the way to geruntun falls. Had a picnic at the river down. The river current is strong. Water is icy cold. Bit of advise, take home what you bring, i mean garbage.

Quite small place that can be crowded if too much people at the same time. Not much ammenities around the area. Entrace is 3 rggt per person

The en route was so long! The waterfall entrance also quite confusing luckily the local tells us, have to pay RM 3 per entry. The long journey can be forgiven once you see the waterfall. The cold water, greeny view, fresh air, clean surrounding (not many rubbish or what not), small picnic area worth my 1 hour. Oh, abseiling activity also available but cant help on the details. Sorry.

Beautiful waterfall in Gopeng. Amazing place for those who love adventure. Can do so many outdoor activities here like water rafting, waterfall abseiling and more. And nice place to gather with our loved one!

Very refreshing place, and you can do water "massage" 🤣 on you back with the water rushing over your head.

Lata Merkor waterfall or called Geruntum Falls, is located almost at the end of a road of a village in Gopeng, Perak. It is very nice place to relax over there… air and water are fresh…. Very refreshing … is a nice place to get away…

Enjoyed a quick hike to this waterfall. It’s a nice place to go especially during the morning when the water very cold.

The water is sso cold... The view is very nice. The environment there was coolf and chilly. Big trees surrounded the area suitable for barbecue.

There is waterfall abseiling for those love more adventures. Bkful as the road vry slippery. Great experience at natural waterfall 👍

Fantastic cascading waterfall. Sheer delight. Can be slippery as water gushes and lil rocky under water while wading. Medium hard as compared to Lata Penyel. You can also hike up to upstream and behold the majestic beauty, which is not too far. Pay RM3 at entrance. Orang Asli staff are kind and helpful. Safe to bring children and senior citizens but suitable at mid stream which is closer to entrance. Road driving from Hoga Gaharu to entrance site is narrow so drive slow. Not to worry as there are corners along to give way for oncoming cars.
