ENLIGHTENMENT
Again, one of those let's 'langgar' (explore) days for Hamid & Taib after I didn't get my pokok belinjau. Earlier, driving from Kuala Terengganu and southwards along the main road, a signpost 'Batu Bersurat'(caught my eye). Rajendra's History text whizzed passed my eyes and thoughts of Tun Sri Lanang's Sejarah Melayu (Malay Annals) and many more gave me the chills.We could have missed the place set under a pavilion and located at the top of several tiers of steps. There was nobody around so feeling a little nervous in case we were trespassing ventured to the stele. The boys had their Kodak Moments while I had a full history lesson about this stone. The one I saw at the Islamic Museum was rough but this one doesn't look like it was mistakenly used as a 'anak tangga' to a mosque.(We must learn to respect our heritage,really!) Smart moves by the Museum authorities putting up the banners with a lot of facts that flew in the wind,adding the special feeling of finding our national honour.I think the kingdom of yore dealt with Human Rights and Rule of Law that was progressive that laid the foundation for our elders.The Wannabees... should heed and have more respect for Man (men and women).Think peace and prosperity, think Batu Bersurat.

Batu bersurat was found hear. However the stone hear is replica only. Original stone at Museum Terengganu
