Army Museum Port Dickson Reviews

The Army Museum is undoubtedly the top museum in Port Dickson, and the best part is that it’s free to enter. However, be aware that parking within the compound is limited, so some visitors opt to park on the roadside just outside. This museum offers a comprehensive experience with outdoor, indoor, and even underground exhibits.
Outdoors, you’ll encounter an impressive array of military machinery, including tanks, trucks, jets, and helicopters. Inside, there are several sections that are truly worth exploring. A visit to this museum serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our front liners to protect our nation’s sovereignty.
To support the museum’s upkeep, donation boxes are thoughtfully placed within the building for visitors to contribute. It’s best to go in the morning to explore the outdoor exhibits, but be prepared for the scorching sun as there is limited shade. Restrooms are available, and there’s a shop where you can purchase drinks and small souvenirs.
As you explore, you might come across photographers offering to take pictures for a small fee; these can be collected at their booth when exiting the museum. All in all, the Army Museum is a must-visit in Port Dickson, given the city’s strong military presence.

All the positive reviews here are correct and this is indeed an awesome place to visit. Most said that it's good for being something free, but I think it's good even if I had to pay (and you can donate inside). While it's true kids will absolutely love this, I don't see why adults won't get excited at seeing such cool military hardware on display. After all, I don't think you can find many places where they are gathered in one place like this.
Do not miss the galleries as they are very informative and you'd likely learn a thing or two not only about the history of the army but also the nation itself. The exhibits are well constructed and engaging making the learning fun.

Suggest to go early in the morning before the noon sun...
Lots of nice war planes n vehicles for some foto shoot. The tunnel is also a nice walk around. Entrance is free, js requires a manual name writing registration. Parking is also free but might be full during peak days

This place is amazing! Although FOC, I wouldn't mind even paying for entrance!
The exhibits are well put together and I especially loved the underground exhibit depicting the times during communist Malaya. A great outing all and all. Would definitely come again!

Great place to visit in Port Dickson, especially if you are a military/history buff. Definitely recommended for everyone (especially those with kids) who are in Port Dickson and have no where to go.
The museum is free to enter (no ticket required)! However, donation is collected at the first hall. The planning of visit path and exhibits are quite good. They even have sound effects throughout the exhibition hall to simulate the environment.
Other than Malay, English transcription is also available for most (not all) areas.
Parking is available for visitor (at the Auditorium area).
The museum comprises of outdoor and indoor areas (2 buildings - 8 halls). They cover historical items since Melaka Sultanate era til modern days. They even have tunnel replica of Malaya Communist Party's Piyamit Tunnel (Betong, Thailand).

Free and no waiting time! Just write your name in the log book and enter. Follow the recommended route/step so you can follow the history. Since there weren't many visitors during weekdays, parking was easy. Have a lot of displays that military enthusiasts would definitely enjoy.

A fantastic place to bring your kids and family so that they get the chance to be up close with some of these war machines used in the past. From anti air, artillery, an army train, APCs, tanks, helicopters, jets and more, kids were truly enjoying themselves climbing over everything and admiring the size of the displays. There are snack bars about and small stalls which you can buy snacks from as well and best of all, entrance is free. Do support our local museums and check the place out the next time you are around with your family and kids.

The place holds the history of the struggles and perjuangan of Malaysia locally and internationally from the past to the present. Very amazed with all the machinery and definitely enjoyed the exhibitions. They even have an underground communist tunnel to portray the reality of the situation during that era. Very impressive! I also love the ship replica and the AFamosa replica for the Malaccan era. Will visit again in the future.

Came here during the school holidays. Full parking. N on a really hot day. Free entrance 👍. This is my 2nd time coming here. There are tons of galeries to see. Quite a lot of vehicles from tanks, choppers, trains, which are excellent for kids.
This muzium for me is good for kids to come and learn about types of vehicles, the army or about war. There was also a komunis tunnel n Jambatan Gantung which for me was really nice. A definite must place to come n visit when coming to PD.
