Pantai Murni Waterfront

Great place to relax and enjoy sceneric view of the beach and Gunung Jerai. Sunset is absolutely stunning. Nearby restaurant and food stalls available. Parking is abundant too.

Discovered this place while driving from Alor Setar to Sungai Petani along the old road. Its under renovation after being neglected for over two years due to Covid lock down so hopefully after full renovation it can become clean and beautiful as intended.
It's still a good place to visit and enjoy some authentic food at the food centre along the beach. It also has playground for children and a long waterfront to enjoy a stroll in the evening while enjoying the sunset.

Nice place for sunset. Come as early as 4pm to buy something. Eat your food while watching the sunset. Great experience.

Improved a lot, clean and beautiful scenery especially during sunset. The food is decent, but the price is slightly higher than other place in Yan.

Nice upgrade to the beach, lively place for the whole family and great sunset. Parking during popular hours are scarce, please plan earlier. Great local food selection in hawker restaurant setting. There is a rather long jetty to walk and snap photos, but the main attraction will always be the great Kedah coastal sunsets.

Fantastic view of 4 islands..Pulau Telor, Pulau Songsong, Pulau Bidan and Pulau Bunting. There is a bridge linking the mainland to Pulau Bunting. Buskers sing nice songs and an artist by the name of Adi Jagat draws caricatures and portraits of visitors for a fee. The food is delicious too This place is at the foot of Gunung Jerai ..an extinct volcano of some ancient period. Relics of an ancient civilization can be found at Chandi Batu Pahat.
