I've been going daily to Batu Caves Murugan temple for many years...although I live right opposite Aiyappan temple but I can count on my fingers the number of times I've been here. Recently I had been visiting this temple to put ghee lamp for Perumal..21 days upto Rama Navami...first day itself the poojari at Ganesha moorthi gave me a mango from the shrine, despite me not giving anything. I was taken by surprise because I'm used to doing chores for the poojaris in Batu caves temple but not once any of them felt moved to be kind to me. I also saw a black cat roaming freely in the temple which really showed the depth of spiritual awareness and compassion of the poojari and the management of Aiyappan temple. When I offered pooja materials for Perumal, Sundaram aiya was so kind to offer every little thing on the plate to Perumal, and even served the prasadam to the devotees. Very rarely I come across people who take pains to make others feel seen and appreciated. It has been a truly humbling experience going to this temple. Made me wonder why didn't I go all these years. God bless Sundaram aiya and his assistant for inspiring us to be kind and thoughtful to everyone regardless of status or appearance. Swami Aiyappan's grace shines through them. Swamiye Saranam Aiyappa.

A complete temple with all important Gods are placed under 1 roof. The entrace is beautiful. This temple is actually inside a cave at ground level. Its been well renovated and even the water drips from cave is also being control to maximum level. The inner temple structure is also lovely. Its big enough to gather few thousands people at a time. Even weddings are done here. A must temple for Aiyappa followers as this is the 2nd biggest Aiyaapa temple in d world. Samiye Saranam.
