Bayan Lepas is a treasure trove of culinary delights, especially when it comes to Malay cuisine. There is Nasi Dalca Briyani Khalis , a must-try, offering a symphony of flavours that dance on your palate. Not far from there, along the same river on the main road, stands the venerable ‘Cargas,’ a haven for those seeking delectable Malay dishes. During my recent visit for lunch, the ambiance was serene, it was puasa time for our Muslim friends . I indulged in a feast of ayam goreng, tauhu, ikan pari, and sotong kembang, each dish an authentic representation of the rich Malay culinary heritage. The flavours were so captivating, I found myself yearning for more. Cargas,has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on my taste buds, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit .

Quite few times here, long queue during lunch hour, but still can eat there.

Returned to Cargas after nearly 2 years & was a little disappointed to see that its signature fried chicken has shrunk in size while food prices have gone up as is the case with most eateries post covid.
The food though is still tasty & the price increase is no deterrent to the multiracial crowd patiently waiting in queue.
As usual, the fried chicken & curry stingray are quickly snapped up. Regulars here usually grab what they can find in the foodtray or wait for replenishment.

We decided to swing by Cargas cafe after reading one of the review. Arrived at 10am and we were greeted by a horde of hungry patrons. The recommended dish are fried chicken and stingray curry. After browsing the menu, we opted for 5 fried chickens, 2 beef, 2 piece of stingray, 1 piece of pomphret, 5 piece of eggplant. The bill comes to a total of rm51. The stingray curry in particular is my all time favourite. I totally recommended it to anyone in the area but please avoid lunch hour as it can get pretty hectic. Cheap food with affordable prices

Arrived here at 1.00 pm but only a few dishes left. Decided to wait a bit for the fried chicken and it really worth it! I don't know what's their secret ingredient for the friend chicken but it definitely taste nice and marvelous! A must try if you decided to have lunch aroun here. Make sure to come early and try their variety of curry by mixing them together. It tastes wonderful! Truly a wonderful local gastronomic experience!

Quite pack as well after lunch hour even though it is in Ramadan puasa week. Many is buying take away. Yummy deep fried chicken, delicious fish curry and the gravy. The siakap fish very fresh, and soft.. heaven match with the curry gravy.. it is a mist have combo when u there. Along with the teh ais too.

Arrived on Sunday afternoon at 2pm and none of the dishes left. Decided to give it a try again on Monday and arrived about 13 noon, was greeted with sea of people. The dishes were nice and the significant one was the fried chicken. Plenty of curries too. Overall experience was good. Make sure u arrive early to avoid disappointment. Premise was clean too.

The pari curry is delicate and well seasoned. The ayam goreng is the best when eaten hot with the rice. It is a bit salty when eat it alone.

Great food with famous fried chicken. Although the queue may look long from outside, surprisingly there are ample seats and drinks were quickly prepared.

Best nasi kandar at Bayan Lepas...the taste of kari was ummpph..& pomfret curry & fried chicken was compulsory to enjoy here...the queue was long but not so long to wait to get your first plate of plain rice..Best food always come with a bit of sacrifice..

We came at 2pm on a Saturday and it was packed with people, but we still manage to get a table. Many of the lauk (side dishes) were sold out but the common one like fried chicken & fish curry are still plenty. It was soo good. Will definitely come again.

Real good Nasi Kandar 👍👍👍 and reasonable price too. Highly recommended.
