Kukup Laut

Really great and chill vibes for first visit to Kukup! Friendly folks and recommended to rent e-bike for ease of travelling to and fro resort to the shopping street.

Unassuming massage shop Koon Ying, which turned out to be like a movie theatre inside sure was surprising, masseurs are generally skilful in applying appropriate pressure on the accurate acupoints as feedback by my friends too! Special thanks to lady masseur Mas for her consistent efforts in releasing knots despite a 2-hr long session before closing time. Branch outlet in Singapore (see photo for details)!

Went with colleagues and was a beautiful village indeed. Food cooked in home stay was delicious and the sunset was amazing. Worth to be visited but can only spend one day

I am totally amaze that they have these huge hostel and houses on stilts
over water and these are epensive looking buildings. A living village .. this my second trip in the last 3 years..

Came here before and today as stopped over after driving to Tanjung Piai. Two different types of scenario. One Kukup Laut where government offices, shops, some restaurants, eateries are built on dry land where as the Kampung Nelayan Air Masin with hotels, houses, shops are built on stilts. You could see keropok are put out in the hot scorching sun to dry them and most local people rides on electric motorbikes, which tourist can rent and jetty with people boarding to Tanjung Balai. Nice place for sightseeing or buy some keropok, ikan bilis or eat seafood.

These place have transform a lot since I last visited more than 10 years ago. Lots of holiday chalet big or small. We rented a big bangalow that can cater for 51 person. The chalet is new, all equipped. Chalet organiser have arrange the food, boat trip, visit the Kukup Island. Our group have more than 40 persons, we have a great time together. Good place for family, friends gathering.

I went there for school trip. Although it was only a one day trip it was still really really fun. One of the restaurant near the terminal was really good. The food there is a must try. I also went to the pineapple farm if i recall and i get to see baby pineapple and it was so cute haha :-) if i have free time , i will surely make a trip down to kukup. However the trip is a little bit long for singapore to there. Nonetheless, its a worth to try thing. In singapore we dont really get to see villages so do make a trip down to kukup to explore a lot more stuff that you dont get to see in singapore.

Kukup Laut adalah sebuah kampung nelayan. Majoriti penduduk Cina, ada juga minoriti Melayu tinggal di sini. Menurut pengusaha bot yang bawa pelancong meronda-ronda perairan Kukup, terdapat lebih 400 buah rumah, lebih 1000 orang penduduk & 75 buah kelong di Kukup Laut. Antara ikan yang ada di kelong ialah ikan merah, siakap & pelaling. Di pekan Kukup ni ada jeti antarabangsa, jeti nelayan, hotel murah, homestay, pejabat imigresen, pengurup wang, terminal bas & teksi, kedai runcit, surau, tokong, Marrybrown, dobi & lain-lain. Sewaktu air pasang, air laut akan naik ke pekan ini. Kukup Laut juga pintu masuk ke Pulau Kukup (pulau paya bakau kedua terbesar di dunia) & port memancing.
