Great place that is trying to preserve the jungle, reintroduce native species, and find new ways to educate and integrate with the local community and economy. Highly recommend to take the early-morning bird-watching tour (in Spanish) with Esteban. He is a wonderful and highly knowledgeable guide and you will feel like the only people in the jungle as everything wakes up around you.

A great place to go for breakfast - you can walk in and go to the restaurant without the entrance fee, or just walk to the dock for pics. Breakfast was delicious. Tour was not really worth the time nor expense (also required a guide). Did not stay overnight.

Beautiful clean cabins that sit on the lagoon. The view is awesome. The spring is refreshing. The mud treatments feel fantastic. The massage is unique. The restaurant is delicious. It is a short drive to town. Avoid driving at night time in the area for your personal safety.

Beautiful place to enjoy nature. Cabins are eco friendly on the top of the hill. It’s a different concept like an adventure. The lodge price includes will includes the kayak, muddy treatment, and guided tour. It is like living in the jungle. A nice adventure !!

I only took the trail tour. I had a guide to myself. She was very patient with me since I dontspeak spanish well. The translation app on my phone made it easier. Very beautiful place. Peaceful. They have a little restaurant by the lake. I saw alligator, monkey,iguana,many birds,etc. The best part.......it only cost 100 pesos! Highly recomend!

Fellow traveler this is a must visit I won't spoil the adventure but it's a must.
Just keep in mind it's a very natural experience do not expect the commodities of a 5 star hotel

Really nice place to visit! Prices of cottages from 1100/ night! But if you are scared from spiders don't stay per night! Hahaha! They have a lot to offer! Definitely magic place! In packages of 1 night you have included ritual with Shaman, bath in private cottage with mineral water, mask for your body and face, walk tour in reservation! If you not stay per night each activity has price. 100-400! Also you can take masage there!

This is a really neat place! The topography is rugged and covered in jungle so it makes for a great adventure. This is where they filmed the movie Apocalypto with Mel Gibson and the set is still here to visit. There is also an archaeological site here that can be toured with a guide. Their are the infamous witches around, also. The lake is beautiful with rough black sand beaches. There are even islands with hidden monkeys. There is plenty of locally made coffee, brandy, and cigars to pick up while in town. I enjoyed the visit.

Amazing "little place" at the mountain range on Veracruz state. An example of ecosystem protection. Imagine to pass a weekend listening to the the sounds of guacamayas and monkeys, in the middle of the dense preserved forest and learning about local culture.

Amazing was not there that long to se all of it but I loved it the trees animals the view wow
