Cristo Rey Pachuca

Fun hike if you start in Centro. I enjoyed it and good exercise. Unbeatable view!

No entrance fees. Go there either because you really want to see the Statue or the views of city of pachuca from elevations.

Other than that, there is nothing there other than a Statue of Cristo de rey. You might as well just see the picture on the internet.

We enjoyed the drive up the mountain (you need a good car) and seeing locals open up their shops and markets in the morning.

For 5 pesos per person, you can enter the building behind Cristo Rey and go up several flights of stairs to reach the base of the statue (where lights and statue’s feet are).

Cristo Rey is a must if you are in Pachuca, it's a beautiful monument to visit and it offers great views of the city. Although it might be tempting to walk from the downtown area to the monument, it is NOT recommended to take the alleys to the monument as it is not safe. The best way to get to Cristo Rey monument is by taxi or by taking a van "combi" to the mirador (combis charge about 10 pesos from downtown to the mirador) from the mirador you can walk your way up to the monument.

33 meter tall hill-top statue with an interesting story and commanding views over the whole of Pachuca and the surrounding mountains. Worth a visit if in the area.

An amazing spectacular sculpture a top of a mountain with great views of Pachuca. The sculpture itself is beautiful and surrounded by beautifully designed church quarters which are very well maintained. You are able to view Pachuca's by paying 5 pesos to climb a few stories to the base of Cristo Rey to enjoy the view of the landscape. Definitely a must if visiting Pachuca

Must visit place in Pachuca. You can oversee the city from here. Visit early before the crowds get there.

The highest point in town , a gigantic Christ made of quarry stone welcomes the visitors with open hands.

It's really windy so take some warm clothes. The view on the city is beautiful so you should visit it. The trip is not easy so if you have a car better use it!

Visited cristo rey last december it was beautiful. I been there couple times but i havent had the chance to actually go on top of the cristo but it was worth it. If you walk more u can see the view of City & get a chance to see the famous clock. Theres a tour bus that can take you but i really never investigated.
