Parque Ecológico Macuiltépetl

Very beautiful park with lots of trails and nature. They have a small animal museum toward the top of the park with many reptiles and birds outdoors. There is a wonderful observation deck for $10 peso that offers stunning views of Xalapa city and the surrounding mountains and volcanos

I stayed nearby and went here several times - this tree covered hill is an extinct volcano. The summit is approximately 100m above the base, and it takes about half an hour to follow the spiralling path all the way up and go strait back down again. Many locals come for exercise in the morning - jog up or do zumba at the base.

Excellent place. Not exactly for hiking but for walking and enjoying the nicest time with the family or couple. Beautiful trails and really secure. 100% recommended for locals and outsiders who love nature

Beautiful and magical garden, The most wonderful Hill at Veracruz, must to visit for all tourist. Archeological site , animal safari and a lot of fun and relax.

Large city park, with lush vegetation and good views. Lots of people come here for exercise, but it has other attractions including monuments, playgrounds, an observation tower, and a small facility with birds and snakes in captivity for viewing.

Beautiful place, the nature, the view, everything!

Really exceptional. Observation tower, the guide was feeding an eagle and we could see it flying back and forth just beside us. Really quiet around the volcano hole. Nice forest. Stroller friendly.

A nice place for jogging. It's a natural reserve and the track is well kept. The Herpetarium has a good variety of snakes and the hawks and owls they kept to heal them is a good attraction difficult to see somewhere else.

This is a great park. The Zipline is fun. Open on weekends. The guard from the park gave total wrong information. Only weekends!! The park itself is super beautiful. They keep it pretty clean, for Mexico!

You can visit the lookout and see all the view in the city, also you can visit the herpetarian and take photos with birds of prey like eagles or with pitons

Its quiet and has nice sights and it's good to take a walk or run

Well-preserved and efficiently organized natural park. Watch out fire ants!
