Cenote Aktun Ha, gave that sense of discovery, of seeing something new, not knowing what to expect from a little hole in the backyard of a family, but when I immersed myself I was amazed with what I found.
The ladder I have to say is part of the adventure, bit dangerous, but you can make it, the cave itself is quite nice, and it has a big blue beautiful hole to swim, and a natural platform to jump.
I also had the chance to meet the family who is lovely, definitely my kind of cenote.
P.S.The timetable shows the cenote closed during the weekend but that’s wrong, they live in there and there is always someone to receive.

It was a memorable experience. The descent can be scary, but it's definitely worth it! We were alone in the cenote for a while before the children from the family joined us. It was beautiful to see them playing!

*DO NOT MISS IT!
*The highlight of our 14 days trip in Mexico
*Entrance fee:50 pesos per person (pay attention because they may want to charge you more!)
*Right after Cuzama village, you will see at your left hand a wooden sign for the Cenote
*follow the Google Maps even if you think it’s the wrong way. When you turn at the sign, it’s like entering a field.
*after few meters the lady who owns the house will welcome you and lead you to the backyard where the cenote is
*Please do not be afraid and do it. The stairs seem scary but they are very stable.
*once you are in the cenote, it’s a paradise.
*you will be all alone most of the times!
*LIFE EXPERIENCE!!

This was honestly our favourite cenote experience so far. You descent down a long ladder in a rocky back yard. (Watch the movie "The Descent" before, if you can ;.)
The inside of the cenote was magnificent and very serene. We were alone.
Definitely worth going the little further than Homún.

I didn't enter this actually but it looked really cool/scary. Scared of heights, so the 15 meter down a ladder was a no go, but it was the sweetest mother with her cute daughter. Left 10 pesos at the entrance as gratitude for showing me around.
Only 50 pesos entrance.

Great pristine cenote. The ladder can be very intimidating, so keep that in mind.

Worth it
