This is a really lovely open air Cenote. First you take a walk, we also did a zip line high above the lake, that was awesome. You see the monkeys in the trees, and after aclgreat walk around, we had a “refreshing’. Swim in over 30’ C water. The middle of the lake is a bit colder. You should just visit this Cenote. You can also cano there.

Amazing spot! Two cenotes - one is for swimming and kayaking, the other only to look over and take photos of. They are both very photogenic. There is a little a hiking route around them (the sign says 5.7 km, but it seemed way less to me) and a zip line, which is included in the price of the entry fee (100 pesos). All in all, there’s quite a lot to do, you can easily spend 2-3 hours there. Unless a big bus comes, there’s not many tourists. I’ve been there until the closing time (16:30) and hardly anybody was there at that hour.

Definitely closed for a long time now. No guards though, and the cenote is easily accessible around the utility shed. Absolutely worth it, beautiful scenery and amazing water. A couple local kids were enjoying when we stopped by and didn't care about our presence. Bring what you need and check it out, it's worth making the detour and stop.

This cenote was the highlight of our trip Xpujil.

We had it all to ourselves and had the chance to do zipline and kanoe.

Super friendly staff too!

This place is owned by ejidatarios, it's a comunal property. It's not a private business, but a business for people that belongs to ejido. Probably the web page doesn't belong to the real owners: peasants and ejidatarios. Mayan people, indigenous people. Show them respect.

It's cheap. Buy tickets with the official clerk of this place not with a tour representative. It's around 10 dollars per person. Don't complain, leave a tip for workers here. Don't be miserable and cheap. I bet you won't be complaining for paying around 100 dollars in US or 100 euros in Europe for something as precious as this. Don't bargain with people riding with in their custom made taxis, it's cheap.

Always you're gonna complain think in the price in US or Europe, have some common decency and don't complain. Prices are affordable.

Again, you're a tourist, don't be cheap and miserable and don't complain for prices or ask a discount. Things are already cheap here, I bet you won't bargain at a US Walmart. Show respect to local people, their business and their time.

Es muy bonito, lo irritante es que los extranjeros son muy tacaños, miserables y hambrientos que no quieren pagar. Me tocó presenciar como unos europeos estaban alegando por el costo. Si no les gusta, que se queden a regatear en Europa.
