Antigua Hacienda de Tlalpan

What an experience! From the outside you would not expect that upon entering you find yourself in a little oasis where you can eat and drink in a beautiful open restaurant while observing actual peacocks! 🦚🦚🦚

I had the chile relleno and it was very tasty!

Had a very nice family lunch. Beautiful setting and garden full of exotic birds.
We had a group with several seniors and the staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The group was large and service was great. As appetizers, the serrano ham and cheese were great, also recommend the soups. The Chile relleno and the picanha were highlights too.

I attended this place because of a familiar event. The environment of this place is great if you like inner gardens such as birds like peacocks, ducks. Etc. Children enjoy this place because they can run and play (inflatable playground rented for this event) also adults can spend good time talking and eating good food

Was told this place would blow one’s mind and they definitely lived up to the anticipation. We sat outdoors party of 5 on a 55 degree night. The live musicians performing during dinner service were mood setting. The staff were quite attentive though I had to ask for a fork.

The menu is 2 pages of extraordinary art, with a chefs menu attached at the top right corner of the 2nd page.

Ordered for appetizers: sea bass empanadas (3 empanadas), baked marrow, scorpion taco & sautéed crickets come served in small cast iron skillet. The empanadas were very dry but the marrow was delicious and heavy, scorpion taco is adventurous and delicious. Ordered cocktails as well: grey goose and cranberry with lime, a shot of goose served in a glass of ice served with another glass of cranberry juice you pour yourself.

Main entree: grilled sea bass over a rich creamy mushroom risotto. The sea bass was cooked to perfection with a beautiful sear, mushroom risotto rich creamy and mesmerizing.

Decor: Two white swans roamed the green, while the peacocks slept in their area. I count 11 peacocks, impressive decor. Holiday decorations along the white walls, beautiful tablecloth tables, each table outside had a heater position above them, wood floors. Piano player playing sexy classical music throughout dinner service.

Added to my list of favorite restaurants around the world, look forward to coming back. I ate the scorpion on first visit.

It's beautiful and fine dinning experience admist peacocks, ppeahens and swan and traditional mexican music. It is important to prebook your seats.

This is a must if you are visiting Mexico City and want to experience the real Mexican Hacienda vibe. The architecture is in great conditions, it has authentic antique furniture, paintings and chandeliers. The garden with live peacocks is unique, they display their feathers at all time, you can get close to take pictures. We had an amazing breakfast, they have extra care in displaying tables with social distance and having wrapped individually napkins and table utensils. They serve traicional mexican cuisine with a modern twist. Upstairs rooms for events are available and a spacious terrace. Prices are similar than a fancy mall restaurant but the view, food quality and service are far better here.

Gorgeous hacienda with a large open lawn, the home of a half dozen sleepy peacocks. The tables surround the lawn. Service is attentive but not quick -- this is a leisurely lunch at best. Food was delicious. Mole was especially good. I would go back.

Very yummy food! I had the red snapper Veracruzana style. My sister ate the scorpion taco to try, but was not a fan. Snails were good and I loved the fresh tortillas! Also loved sopa de Flor de Calabasas.

It is a classic restaurant in CDMX. The architecture is so beautiful, the garden is stunning, the birds are gorgeous!

The service is amazing, all the waiters are around and willing to help. Everyone is really polite. The food was amazing, this is a good place to try prehispánic food and more traditional food.

Great food: I try “tuétanos” served in the bones: great with blue corn tortillas!

I also ask for a very hot soup of “colita de res”, it was flavorful and really hot as asked

Service is really nice and the traditional environment makes you fill in a real ranch. Look the peacocks looking nice for you!

My experience is simply unforgettable not just because my wedding party was here but because this is a landmark. The taste, the setting, the incredible attention and service makes this facility one of the top places in whole Mexico, not only at Mexico City. All the menu is a review of Mexican cusine. Tortillas is one of the most underrated assets of the menu, amazing and hand made, they worth the trip to Tlalpan. Try the mango duck, the salmon, Sonora cheese sup or the tail soup. The bar is comfortable always with live music and the dinning room is superb classic and classy with some foreign and national pianists conforms a great experience. Please don't miss the chance to visit Antigua Hacienda even if it is only for dessert you won't regret the culinary visit plus the air of the gardens and the peacocks an swans below the antique construction which make a lovely view in this great place.

We were with the group of 52 people. The place was beautiful. Food and service were exceptional. All of us were happy with the choice of this restaurant.
