This was a beautiful spot to visit and well worth the detour East to see the amazing falls before continuing to Creel and the Copper Canyon. The falls and surrounding area were stunning. We went in early October and barely encountered another soul on our hike to both sides of the falls on consecutive days.

With a 246m, it is the tallest (permanent) waterfall in Mexico (the tallest non-permanent is nearby as well, Piedra Volada). There are basically two viewpoints, one in front of it, where you can walk down a hill with several secondary paths to look at it from different angles; and another one above it. You need a car to go from one of these viewpoints to the other. We were there in mid August, around the rainy season, so we were lucky it was carrying a lot of water.

You can also go down to the bottom, but it's not an easy hike. According to locals, it's about an hour going down and two going up. They also strongly suggested avoiding it after 4 pm.

Amazing Hike. Bring a drone. 4 great lookout points to take pic and video. The hike up is CHALLENGING especially in a severe thunderstorm with lightning hitting all around. It was quite the Adventure. You have to go down to the bottom.

Beautiful place but very sad is so dry. I was there 30 years ago and it was so full of water and green all around it.

Great place to enjoy close to nature outdoors. Be there early so you can do the walk to the bottom of the waterfall. Try to get there in group to mitigate local gangsters contact.

Completely breathtaking. We hiked down to La Ventana, and then continued to the very bottom. The scenery is incredible from the start through the finish.

What is there to say, it's the highest full time waterfall in Mexico. I would suggest going after some rain or not in the dry season to make the experience a bit better. Otherwise expect there to be an underwhelming amount of water flowing. The scenery is spectacular though.

Tienes que andar en top shape para ir para abajo 👇 y subir pa arriba 👆. There a different trials to take to view La cascada de Basaseachi. It is steep going down so make sure you got good shoes & your Hydro flask ready. Lo bueno es que hay un don on the top who sells different Pomadas and lemme tell you. Sana sana colita de 🐸. It helps your sore muscles. Check out the little stores w/different Gemstone 🍎,♥ , Rosarios, little animals, the artifacts y souvenirs.

2016, my sons(9 and 11 years) and I camped at the Natioal Park and climbed down and back up in March. Well worth the effort. Very beautiful landscape and an adventure we will never forget. Highly recommended.

Awesome place to see God's handiwork! If you go there praise him and worship him. Ponder what He has done in your life and receive Him into your heart if you haven't already.

Very cool waterfall. Make sure to go when the water is at a decent level. The road to get there is a nightmare for people who get car sick. Take some motion sickness medicine or don't go. Hike to the bottom is really cool. Pretty steep. Children will definitely get tired. Very cool place.

Do go to the bottom of the fall it's worth it, bring a walking stick (it's useful). Do prepare phisicaly and mentally is not a simple hike, buy you will enjoy completing the challenge
