Monumento Al Pipila

Beautiful panoramic views to a colorful, unique city! You can get there by a taxi 70 pesos each way, funicular 35 pesos per person one way, or walk. You will be amazed by the combination of bright colors of this city.

Best location to overlook the old town of Guanajuato. It’s either 10min walk or 3min cable car. I recommend to walk and you will see well decorated housing along the road.
The town is so colorful and we will definitely come back again!

What a monument! What a view! Not only that but there are convinient vendors all around to enjoy a gordita and refreshing drink (that's a cantarito). All while enjoying the picturesque city below. Definitely take the tram and enjoy!

We were dropped off at the top and then took the funicular down. It's a must do when your in Guanajuato. The view is spectacular and the photos come out awesome.

Ps, climbing to the statue is totally not necessary - doesn’t see much more over there for $5.

Definitely a MUST, whether it is during day or night I doubt there's another spot from which you can enjoy such a nice view of the city or Guanajuato.
Near there you can find a lot of typical Mexican snacks I had a "Guacamaya" which is a "torta" (sandwich) made out of pork rinds with avocado, tomato hot sauce lime and it's delicious 🤤 ...

During night time the monument is lit up.

You can see the whole view of the city. The weather is bad and should be prettier

There is no option to purchase tickets ahead of time. Definitely recommend purchasing the tram unless you dont mind walking up a steep hill of stairs. Once you have reached top where Pipila is you have an amazing view of Guanajuato.

View point of Guanajuato, less foot traffic in the early hours of the morning. You'll see tours and other tourism gather here during the later hours of the day

Great meet point, monument up on a hill has a full view of mostly the whole city, it also seems many tour guides meet. You are able to catch a tour without having to book online

A must visit if your in town, stunning panoramic city views. Tons of vendors on top and seating areas. You can take the hard walk up or take the easy way up on the cable car up and down for a small fee. We’ve done both, and both are great experiences, but for my father who is 69 it is was a steep climb up.

The Monumento Al Pipila is one of the best places to take photos of the landscape and buildings. If you are in Guanajuato this place is great!

Awesome view of the town. 3 ways to get up there. First is a taxi. Second is a a little Tram train that goes up the mountain. Third is climbing thru the sidewalks that go up the mountain. Having a drink at the top is worth the effort.

Beautiful view. A fun ride up the tram. Tons of vendors at the top to buy souvenirs anurse and lots of guides to tell you the history. Definitely worth definitely worth checking it out and at least seeing the view. Lots of different alleys & shops to explore.

If you are in Guanajuato you have to come up here. It’s a beautiful view of this amazing city. You will get amazing pictures and can really see how beautiful the city is.

There is also shopping, food, and drinks. You can also go up in the monument for even better views. It is breath taking as you can see from my pictures and videos.

It had been over 20+ years since I had been here. So good to visit again. So much to see and do. This is an amazing thing to see.
