The Professed: Temple of San Felipe Neri

This is a second historical church located on pedestrian street Calle Francisco I. Madero, on the corner of Calle Isabel La Católica, with the entrance of Madero, the first one being the Franciscan Church and ex-convent to the west of Madero.
The architectural style is somewhat different from the more ornate later baroque style; it is more austere and a bit more somber.
The interior offers a lot to see and admire. The church was first founded by Jesuits but after they were banished from Mexico (they were expelled in 1767 from Spain, and thus from all Spanish overseas possessions, it belongs now to the Oratorians Order or Oratory of Saint Philip Neri.

Recently reopened, beautiful inside. Sinking into the ground slowly.

What a breathtaking cathedral! I’ve been to a few cathedrals around the world, but this one definitely is up there. Very beautiful stone architecture from the outside and amazingly intricate artwork inside. The plaza outside and the red roofed houses around town give a Spain-like feel to the area.

Templo de estilo barroco del año 1714, por fuera y por dentro es muy bello, dentro cuenta con una colección de pinturas consideradas de las más importantes de México, si no pueden entrar por avenida Madero traten de entrar por la vuelta a la esquina.

Hermosa, bellísima, una enorme iglesia muy antigua, preciosa por fuera y más hermosa por dentro, está libre a todo público, hermosos altares , enormes columnas, una tranquilidad absoluta, puedes ingresar y sentarte a rezar u orar , sentarte en alguno de los altares y pasar un momento de paz mientras te confiesas con Dios , hay sillas, y asientos, muy cómodos, hay poca gente sin embargo acudí un día martes , quizás hay más los fines de semana, hermosa arquitectura.bellizimo lugar el cual visitar
