It is the most amazing market I've ever experienced. It is said to be the biggest market in the world. You have to go with someone who is familiar with the place, otherwise you get lost easily. There's plenty of parking. Getting there is also easy. There are places where the minimum purchase is a container, others where the minimum purchase is per kilo. The whole country gets its produce from here. There are restrooms, but I haven't made use of them. I suggest going cautious since it is super crowded. BUT YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICES. THEY ARE FORMIDABLE. It is totally worth buying groceries here.

Wow! You can get lost here! Everything you can think of is sold here except I did not see livestock for sale. Every vegetable and fruit know and some that were new to me. The variety of products is unbelievable! Every spice, ingredient... a chief's dream! The food stands here are amazing... everything fresh from the market!

This is a huge market for retail and wholesale. Store owners buy goods for their stores. People bring backpacks, fill them out and take home by car or public transportation.

This place covers 246 hectares or 608 acres. This place feeds metropolitan Mexico City with close to 20 million inhabitants. There are producers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers from across the country, handling fruits, vegetables, meat, flowers, and more.

A lot of different offers and good prices.

If you need find that special ingredient in your recipe, obviously you will find it here, you can find from common vegetables until really rare ingredients only you need find because is hyper sized place to buy vegetables.

This place is huge you have got to be on your toes. You can spend your whole day el walking around. You can find pretty much whatever you need. They have food stalls here and the food is actually good with big portions. Two tacos were enough for me.

Ok. So be ready to get out of the Porters way... They for sure make the world go round at the market... Also if you don't, do be surprised when they whistle at you and call you güero ;-) if you are one.

All that besides, lots of respect for this hard working Market. Fresh produce is the main attraction, some meats, some dry goods.

Generations of families work here and either run the stand for a farm or for their own farm. There is some crossover in vendors, however there is so many different halls to go down and shop that one can get lost.

Stepping into this part of history is an epic experience.

The place where you can get stuff cheap & with good quality. But be very clear where you want to go. Get in & out of the place in the morning time.
The only place in Mexico City where I think we get good fresh Fish.

Great prices if you don't mind going to this zone. Maybe not for every foreigner.

It's a great and big grocery's store, you don't need an appointment and you should wear easy walk shoes if you will go to this place

Quite big bug you can buy almost everything. The downside of this place is that prices fluctuate quite often. You may want to make sure this is the cheapest place you can find your items
