Xinalani Retreat

We may be the only people who did not do Yoga the entire time we were at a resort that is known for it's Yoga retreats, but that was only because we were so thoroughly content to just lay on the very private idyllic beach and just get fully relaxed. The beach was wonderful and so great to swim in the ocean. The pool, sauna & jacuzzi were also fabulous. It is a bit "rustic" in that you are really away from it all but that is what makes this such a special place. All the staff are beyond gracious and the whole place functions like a very well oiled machine. If you do travel there without being part of a Yoga retreat you need to make arrangements in advance for any outings you might want to do. There is yoga once daily for all non group retreat guests.We are just back home tonight and missing this special place already.

The service is excellent. The staff didn’t miss a beat when it came to helping us. They were friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to: Luis (meals supervisor), Samuel (server) Victor (activities) and the gal at the front desk! You were wonderful and made our trip as did the guys at the bar, the guys helping with beach and pool stuff, other servers, teachers and front desk staff, maintenance, cleaners plus the guys carrying our luggage!!

We suggest you bring cash for staff tips because they deserve them but they certainly don’t ask for them.

The Japanese hot tub and sauna were spectacular! So relaxing.

You will get your workout in with the stairs, that’s for sure. Ha, but we liked that part.

The food is heavenly, especially the last night on the beach. They accommodate gluten free which we really appreciated.

Xinalani is a magical retreat away tucked away in the jungle. We stayed 3 nights and loved everything about the experience. The rooms are spacious, well thought out, comfortable and the showers were spectacular overlooking the ocean. Hot water always came in abundantly. The food was delicious and healthy. Service was top tier. Highly recommend staying here if you love eco luxury.

Peaceful and tranquil space to lean in to mindful reset and self care. The staff is so kind and helpful in every way. Second to the yoga, Kimi made the trip for me. He has a world of knowledge on the beautiful ecosystem and the culture of the charming Quimixto village. He led us on a nature tour of the jungle and out to sea for an amazing day with whales an dolphins. unforgettable experience! Thank you, Kimi!!!

This was my 2nd retreat at Xinalani, and the experience was even richer this time! The beautiful yoga studios and cabins built up into the mountainside are only surpassed by the outstanding service and care in which the people staffing Xinalani take in providing a full spectrum vacation stay. They staff is genuinely concerned about the comfort and safety of guests, and the partnership with the local Quixmoto village makes for an immersive getaway that brought peace and joy into our retreat.

This was my sixth visit to this lovely resort with friends. It’s reasonably priced. The best food. Ever. The employees are so helpful. We were able to join a dolphin swim ( new for Xinalani) this time. Cannot recommend you visit more. They also have a nice program if you are an instructor that makes it pretty easy to bring a group. That’s what we’ve done the last three years. ❤🙏🏼

An absolute treasure of a place. I proposed to my girlfriend on the secluded beach at the retreat 2 weeks ago. I couldn’t of asked for a better experience capturing the moment, and spending the following 2 days after there celebrating. The hotel staff, service, accommodations, food, and activities were all top notch. I had the best yoga class there of my life. We stayed in this magnificent casita overlooking the beach which came with its own hot tub. Your brain instantly is at peace here and its extremely meditative. We will be coming back soon, for at least a week. Thank for such a memorable trip.

Xinalani is a magical place! You basically have a private beach with all sorts of amenities and activities to do throughout your stay (SUP, dolphins, temezcal, cooking classes, lots of yoga, spa). The guest rooms are spacious, well-stocked, and come with amazing views. Every staff member provided top-notch service and the food was *chef's kiss* - can't wait to return!

I went with my wife for 6 days and it was amazing. First thing is that you don’t need to do yoga, although one class is included everyday.

The staff is really great, they get to know your name, room and what type of food and beverages you like. So by day two they were treating me amazing and felt very personal.

The beach is very nice and quiet. The rooms has amazing views. If you hate animals, bugs and stairs, this hotel is not for you. Also, don’t come in case you are thinking of working on the beach. This hotel is more for really not anything and disconnect from the world. They don’t have TVs or good wifi, but that is the hole purpose.

Loved the experience and I hope I can come back soon.

I planned an aerial yoga retreat here for November 2021 and every step of the experience was incredible. In my process of planning a retreat for my studios, Xinalani was by far the only resort who was professional and timely in their responses and communication. Their reservation staff are so patient, helpful and more than willing to answer all of your questions.

Our experience at the resort was also amazing. The rooms are beautiful and clean. I personally was nervous about bugs and critters since the rooms are open air, but I barely saw any in our room and felt comfortable tucked away in my bug net at night. It's interesting that some people comment on the amount of stairs in their reviews, the stairs are not bad at all and they're totally worth it for the views! The food and excursions are amazing! I had the best massage of my life at Xinalani- I highly recommend!

I'm in the process of planning our second retreat there and I can't wait to go back! I wish I could give this place 10 stars!

Update: We just returned from leading our MOOXLI retreat here and I cannot say enough about Xinalani, their beautiful location, wonderful staff, and dreamy accommodations. We are already schedule to return with our community in 2024 and I expect our retreat to sell out as soon as we open registration as so many in our community cannot wait to return. For private or group travel Xinalani is a must do!

We came for a site visit ahead of a retreat we are hosting in May, 2023. The staff, the food, the grounds, and the yoga studios are all excellent. Our party was in the Big Palapa and a king deluxe no AC. Everything was absolutely lovely and we can't wait to come back!

Perfection would describe my short stay here! I would come back without hesitation! The staff is super friendly and helpful! The food was delicious, the bed comfortable, the shower hot ( not that you really need hot water staying in the jungle lol ) , gorgeous property!! Yes there are plenty of steps but that is pointed out in the description of the property....so don't be surprised when you arrive. You will get a workout! Make sure and make time to hike to the waterfall in Quimixto!

This place was awesome! You are able to definitely zone out, and be in tune with the environment. I really enjoyed my stay here.

FYI: they provide you with mosquito repellent, but it is also great to bring your own…definitely will need it; also bring great walking shoes.

I had a evil women who hated men share the big palupa room. The staff recognized her intentions and put ne up in a brand new villa. When I was checking out they dismissed my bar tab and even gave me a hug. They made a horrible situation a memorable one. Thank you
New villas are amazing

This resort got a 5 star from me - even though it is a BoHo chic eco resort and is rustic in places, I gave it that because the service was so incredible and the food was absolutely delicious and fresh. The staff remembers your name and caters to your dietary needs and if they discover something you did not tell them (say onions are not your friend) than they bend over backwards for you to give you great food, drinks and experiences. I was a Travel Consultant in the travel industry for almost a decade and worked for AAA and this place is beautiful, unique, gives top service, incredible cocktails, the rooms have phenomenal views and all while being able to do yoga, SUP, lay by the pool or take a boat to Yelapa with a Zoologist…and more! Whatever you do, take a trip to this lovely paradise and your welcome.

This was such a unique experience and exactly what we were hoping for. They do such an excellent job making the trip out to xinalani as easy as can be and are excellent at communicating all the important details of your stay. The place is magical...the food is excellent, the rooms are awesome and the property has everything you need. We met some really cool people while we were here too. My only suggestion would be to have multiple yoga instructors leading classes.

Fabulous food with lots of choices. Comfortable open rooms. I stayed in the Big Palapa and the view is beautiful. Very clean. Nice people. Highly recommend!

Amazing service. All the employees were very kind. Location is great and the business design for helping community is super cool. The beach casita was fantastic. as well Luis Fernando makes a 10/10 drink. the food choices were delicious, very healthy and buffet set up was good. Would recommend to anyone.
