Taqueria La Tejana

We ate here last evening for the first time and were blown away with how yummy our meal was. We had a pulled pork sandwich and nachos plus some decadent desserts. You order and pay at the counter and then they bring your food to you. The owners were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back ❤

Coming here from Chicago and Dallas, TLT has some of the best BBQ ribs, brisket, wings and tortas we've tasted. Yes, we ordered it all, as well as fries, slaw, and baked beans. Wow!

They are extremely friendly, the food is worth the wait, and it's right across from a nice park area.

It's worth the drive, for done in or takeout. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is incredible! The staff are so friendly, excellent customer service, and the food is unbelievably good. Amazing portion sizes, fresh and hot food, and such amazing flavor. I am not sure how anyone could give this place lower than 5 stars! Ate here at least 5 times in a week. A must have if you’re in the area.

I wanted a brisket sandwich but for some reason ordered a pulled pork...regardless it was delicious now I have to go back for the brisket..owner is very nice if your in chelem this place is a must go to

This place is such high quality. The food is delicious... definitely made from someone who is a true Texan. The portions are amazing and it’s probably the only place in Chelem that serves soft drinks with ice and in big mugs. The baked potato is a must!!!!

Excellent food and even better service. Try the giant stuffed baked potato, amazing! Plus the owner is from Texas and speaks English, a definent plus for this Gingo who needs to learn Spanish.

The baked potato gets 5 stars. It's delicious. Really, really, good! Everything else I've had is just ok. So, if you're eating here, order the loaded baked potato!!!

My friend and I wanted BBQ Texas style so we went here. The loaded baked potatoes with chopped beef was very delicious and too large to finish at one setting. The sliced beef sandwhich had lots of brisket slices, sauce and dill pickles. Great service. We will be Back!

The food was wonderful! We were coming here for vacation but got stuck in the airports for three days bc of staffing issues (pandemic) when we finally arrived our host told us to call this place for dinner! WE WERE THRILLED!!!! The food was great! We loved the way they put the butter down in the baked potato! The ribs were delicious. The guacamole was delicious! And they brought it to the house in about 35 minutes. We were thrilled!

Amazing place for BBQ! Right in the middle of Chelem. Just a few tables, but we mostly pick up and take home. You’ve got to try the stuffed baked potatoes!

I just had dinner from La Tejana this evening for the first time. It certainly will not be the last. The ribs were some of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend the jalapeno bombers. They are friggin awesome!

Had a great time here! It’s not your typical yucatecan fare, this is a version of Tex Mex! The smoked meats are delicious! Service was friendly and with a smile!

One of my favorites in Chelem. Maria and Victor are so welcoming. Don't miss the stuffed baked potato and the stuffed jalapenos.

Great restaurant across from the park. They have a barbecue grill out front and turn out excellent ribs, baked potatoes, burritos, etc. Everything is fresh and tasty, the owners Victor and Maria are very friendly and fun. Extremely reasonable prices.
