I paid for a tour of the property. It cost $100 pesos for each person. I did not stay in the hotel. The property is extensive with several passage ways. I saw it on Instagram and the photo do not do it justice. It’s prettier in person.

Holy s**t, where do I even begin? This place is amazing. Incredible old silver processing facility from the 1700s. So much left, 90% of it open to explore. Dungeons and tunnels and forges and aqueducts. I spent hours wandering and wondering what all the different spaces were used for.

I am 99% sure the water fall at Los Primas, next door, was caused when a damn was built to control the river that once flowed through the valley in which the Hacienda was built. The engineering that went into controlling water here is incredible.

The staff is fantastic, with a special shoutout to Jugo/Hugo (from Atlanta) at the restaurant. Got a dip in the pool, a little cold, but where else can you swim in 18th-century ruins?

Rooms are nice. Not fancy, but good. I enjoyed my 2 nights there for sure.

Really a special place and 100% worth staying there, and eating there, if you need a place in the area. Recommended without reservation, I really loved it.

Great place with a lot of history. Take the free historical tour to understand that. Nice gardens, pools for skimming etc. Highly recommended to walk the short distance to the basalt columns and waterfall outside the hacienda's walls.

beautiful hotel, the staff is always kind and helpful but the food could improve. The rooms are big and comfy. You can enjoy the open spaces which have an amazing natural view. there are also trips to nearby waterfalls and natural unique rock formations

The staff here was very friendly in accommodating our wheelchair. Some of the walkways were quite bumpy, but still manageable. It's possible to get around most of the hacienda in a wheelchair without having to navigate any stairs. Just be aware it's not realistic to roll here in your wheelchair from the Prismas Basalticos since there isn't a good sidewalk.

The Castle is very nice. I recommend to visit. unfortunately they did not have an English speaking guide, so we just walked around the castle and grounds and enjoyed the beautiful views.

Beautiful place!
Awesome views and kind staff.
Excellent for receptions and social events.
If you are handicapped, mention it at the moment of reservation so that proper care can be delivered.

Near the basalt prisms, this mining processing plant was apparently the richest in New Spain during the 18th century. The impressive architecture of the majestic furnaces and cleaning tubs contrasts with the systematic exploitation of de-facto slaves, including dungeons where workers who dared to steal the gold were whipped to death. It's a monument to greed and suffering. Very impressive in my opinion. I recommend getting a tour to really understand what was going on between those walls

Beautiful Hacienda with gardens, tunnels and grounds to explore :D They have a restaurant and rooms to stay here too, but we didn't have that pleasure for ourselves.

This is a beautiful place full of history, it should be one of your places to visit if you tour Mexico City and near by places.

The Ex-Hacienda San Miguel Regla, was the home of Count Don Pedro Romero de Terreros.

Built in the 18th century, where in the past the minerals extracted from the Real del Monte mines were processed (mainly gold and silver), to later be sent to New Spain. Due to this activity it became the first silver beneficiation Hacienda in the region, achieving the fame of the place.

Today it is an Exclusive Hotel, with enviable landscapes and beautiful historical buildings that invite fantasy.

10-15 walking distance from Prismas Basálticos. It's downhill. I was taken aback by the magnificent structure and design.

Amazing place to visit! Much better than San Miguel Regal because all the structures are original. Continuously I felt like in a Piranesi etch, amazing!

Nice and beautiful place, full of history, you definitely have to have a tourist guide to explain you the history and the importance that this place had some several years ago.

The service is excellent and the hotel and its surroundings are beautiful. I don't recommend the night guided tour, too expensive for the experience you'll get.
