Volcán Paricutín

Worth it. If you're an outdoor lover this is a must! You can either start from the bottom of the inactive village or get a horse from the local village to the bottom of the Volcano and then walk it. The horse ride is approx 2 hours and needs to be arranged the day before as a guide and horses will be required. A beautiful view awaits at the top.

The way down was insane. You basically can ski in your shoes down the trail of volcanic rocks 🪨 they’re weird, like super light black rocks and sand, saw a kid wipe out but she was fine

Started in Angahuan by hiring a guide - 300mxn for my horse and 300mxn for the guides horses. It's a long and possibly hot horse ride. If you've never rode a horse like me it will be very uncomfortable.
A person stationed at a hut at the base of the volcano will request 20mxn for keeping the place clean despite seeing some litter throughout the entire day.
There are 2 routes up the volcano. A very steep and slippery route and to the right of it, a much less steep but still slippery path. A random dog or two might accompany you.
Going down is fun but you will get sand in your shoes and socks.
It is not a hot tourists destination but who knows for how long.

This is a must see. You can see.the.village all destroyed by lava and ash. Only remains the top of the church. Volcano is made.of loose sand so it a good cardio exercice to climb it

Volcan Paricutin ( Paricutin Volcano 🌋 ) is a good place to climb. Once at the top of the cone it is good to take a rest, and at the same time to take pictures to the wonderful landscapes and its surroundings.

Great place to visit. Be sure to descent on the sandy side of the volcano!

Este volcán es muy amigable ! No fue complejo pero si usa gorra ! Bloqueador y siempre con cautela, ya que mucha roca suelta pequeña puede hacerte caer.

Si tienes condición física será más simple. Pero de igual forma lo puedes lograr !

No tengas miedo, inténtalo y disfrútalo !

Es maravilloso pero para subir es necesario conocer el lugar y llevaré camioneta alta porque el camino es muy complicado, pero la experiencia vase la pena.

Un lugar UNICO que debes conocer, una travesía fuerte muy recomendable para primeras horas del día. Buen calzado , hidratación y preparados para un gran reto que se verá coronado con la majestuosidad de las visuales de la cumbre... Será inolvidable.

Un lugar imperdible en tu visita al hermoso estado de Michoacán, con paisajes boscosos y con una excelente vista del paisaje de roca volcánica. Realmente una experiencia única, donde puedes ver la fuerza que tiene la naturaleza para modificar el paisaje en de un momento para otro, bien apodado la Pompeya Mexicana!!!

Lugar precioso, paisaje particular y único, recomiendo tener cuidado cuando caminas por la lava, ví una serpiente a pocos metros de mí, VAYAN ♥♥♥

Una experiencia totalmente diferente, nunca imaginé estar en el crater de un volcán a 2800 metros de altura. Llegué en camioneta rentada y con guía desde Angahuan y me cobraron $2,400. El camino está muy accidentado pero el paisaje es muy bello. La camioneta se queda como a 2 km del volcán y desde ahí hay que caminar, el camino tiene mucha subida con arena y ceniza volcánica, es algo resbaloso; recomiendo llevar botas para senderismo y si no se puede, unos tenis cómodos que no te importe maltratar. Para subir al volcán cobran 20 pesos y ahí mismo puedes comprar de beber y alguna botana. Al entrar debes visitar una de las dos chimeneas para observar las fumarolas de vapor; desde ahí se inicia al ascenso hasta el crater: es majestuoso, cualquier descripción se queda corta, el paisaje es muy bello y se observa el avance de la lava durante el tiempo de la erupción. La bajada es divertidísima! Por último, NO TIRES BASURA POR FAVOR.
