Mesón Antigua

Most of the moles in CDMX are good, but not spicy enough 🌶. This mole is perfect and perhaps the best I’ve had in the city—it certainly rivals Puebla. Besides the mole, it’s located next to a quiet historic park on the corner of Francisco Sosa, possibly the most enchanting cobblestone street in Coyoacán. Despite the restaurant’s popularity amongst locals and tourists, the staff remains gracious and humble. Hand-painted furniture gives the place an extra boost of charm. And the coffee is very good. Really enjoyed the entire experience. ¡Gracias!

An authentic and and very welcoming restaurant. Staff were quite helpful and did everything they could to guests felling welcome. We were even treated to a full presentation at the table of all the desserts/cakes available on the menu. Location in front of the beautiful square adds even more to an enjoyable lunch. Strongly recommend this neighbourhood with the cobblestone streets and the cosy restaurants and interesting museums.

Delicious food, very nice service. Ask for the Salsa Picante verde y rojo to compliment the food. The special breakfast Don Quixote was very good, also the enchiladas suizas verde.

If you're looking for a typical Mexican food restaurant, you've come to the right place👉! Food is tasty well served. We tried "cafe de olla" and it was excellent. Hot sauces are amicable for your mouth of you're not a hot chili consumer! Overall the service was really good, but it can get a bit slow at some point, but your patience will be well rewarded!

The surrounding area is nice and historical. The restaurant itself has a great view of the outside if you sit in the upper areas. Food is incredible and well priced!

We had dinner here two nights in a row. The staff is so nice, and we enjoyed our meals and our margaritas. The location is lovely, close to where we are staying, peaceful surroundings but colorful energetic decor. We sat at the street side tables the first night and the fun rooftop deck the next night. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful place. It's in front of a very old park called Santa Catarina. They serve Mexican food and it's really good. If possible ask to be seated in the terrace, the view is beautiful.

The enchiladas suizas (red) were delicious. They were very filling, so I didn't need an y additional sides. Very quiet area and speedy service.

If you want to enjoy traditional mexican food and drinks this the place is what you are looking for, this restaurant is placed in a historic location (Coyoacan) but far enough from hustle of shopping area, ideal to take a breath and admire elements of mexican culture while delighting one of the most emblematic dishes: "chile relleno", a variety of slightly spicy chilli pepper filled with molten mexican cheese and dipped in delicious seasoned tomato gravy.

Personal recomendations:
-"Chile en nogada" very traditional variety of chile relleno only available on national holidays season.
-"Chile relleno 'Cielito lindo'" innovative variety of chile relleno that preserves traditional mexican tastes.

Intriguing little place for flavored drinks !! So cute and good!!

Tasty food and great atmosphere. I really enjoyed the Pechuga Santa Catarina- the guajillo naranja sauce was lovely.
