I heard a lot of praise about this coffee bar so I decided to go here. I have been 3 times in the past month. First of all because it is so good, but also because I was intrigued by the range of cold brews.

The coffee bar is located near the center of Coyoacan , a very nice neighborhood in the city. The coffee bar is very small with barely room to sit. There are some bar stools and there is also a bench against the wall. With a bit of luck you can also sit outside on the sidewalk. That is it.

But I like the place, it's cozy with a nice bar counter. And, worth mentioning, with a very good choice of music.

But I came for the coffee and it is excellent. The presentation is perfect and neat, with a glass of water.

What struck me, however, was the wide choice of cold drinks, with coffee as the main ingredient (cold brew cocktails, as it were).

The menu of these cold brews changes every month. For example, last December there was a choice of a cocktail called 'cascara soda', which consists of a cold brew, kombucha, mandarine and mineral water. Or how about the 'Trago 2' which consists of cold brew, kefir de jamaica, ginger and orange.

I thought they were all very tasty and excellent. Highly recommended to come here for this cold brews.

Amazing Flat White! I can highly recommend this place. In my opinion one of the best coffee experiences in CDMX. The place is very authentic and the staff super friendly & welcoming. You have to check it out!

Cafe Avellaneda is home to some of the friendliest baristas I've had the pleasure of meeting in CDMX. Despite its small size, the cafe offers high-quality coffee and exceptional service thanks to its three friendly baristas.
Although I'm not a coffee drinker, I tried their house chai with lactose-free milk. What makes their chai unique is the use of leftover coffee beans in the preparation, resulting in a flavor that is both intriguing and cozy. This approach sets it apart from other chais I've had.
However, the real highlight of Cafe Avellaneda is its baristas. They are warm and hospitable and provide impeccable service, which elevates the entire experience. Additionally, each drink comes with a glass of water and a small wafer, which adds a thoughtful touch to your visit.
Overall, Cafe Avellaneda is one of the most popular coffee spots in Mexico City, and it's easy to see why.

Small cafe in the side streets of Coyoacán Centro. Really nice atmosphere, delicious Flat White and friendly!
The pistachio lemon cookie was a bit dry for my taste but I think that’s just the style of cookie ;)

While visiting CDMX I came to Coyoacan specifically to check out this cafe because I read online that they have the best coffee in the city using award-winning Jiribilla coffee beans. It was indeed one of the best flat whites I've ever had, so I bought a bag of coffee beans to take home to the US. I like that they provide information about from where they're sourced, who grows them and when they're roasted.

The brownie I had was nice and I appreciate that they provide a glass of water with the coffee, which is the tradition in my home of Austria.

The cafe is quite small but has a very energetic vibe. It seems to be a real focal point for coffee enthusiasts in CDMX.

A small coffee bar in space, but not in experience. Best coffee we had in our week CDMX (minimum 1 speciality coffee per day) - so that says it all 🤗. Service is impeccable, even when we sat outside on the curb. A must!

Best coffee I’ve had in Mexico over this last month. Huge array of beans and coffee styles to choose from. Perfect if you love a good quality brew or espresso.
I was stoked to get a real flat white!
Not cheap at 65 pesos but worth it.

Coffee heaven. These guys are artists and truly reveled in their craft. We came back twice in one day while we were in the area. Got pour over, cappuccino, and the horchata cold brew. Everything was great 👌🏻

This is a cute hole in the wall cafe. It's a short walk from the Frida Kahlo house, perfect to grab coffee and bakes before or after your visit. The coffee is great, the lemon pistachio cookie is a nice treat. Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood.

Easily the best coffee shop in the city, hands down. Unique menu with interesting (and delicious) offerings in addition to the usual selections. We ordered the “Juanita” and a mocha, both were delicious and served with a little nibble (dried apple + biscotti, respectively). The barista was wonderful and friendly, prices were very reasonable, a gem!

They're artists, they know what they're doing. Incredible inventions coming out the place with gorgeous presentation. They have your flat white and anything you need. Very cool interior and styling in a tiny hole in the wall with gracious people serving you. All the coolness without attitude.

Perfection! Stopped in here on a bike ride down to Coyoacan and my cappucino was flawless and served with water and a little biscuit on a tray. Great music was playing. I was happy. And I grabbed a bag of beans to bring back to NYC with me and have been happily making my own cappucinos here with it. I highly recommend.

Intimate and friendly, opens at 8am which is when we came. A personable and cozy cafe that prides itself in offering you the best and highest quality of Mexican coffee beans from a variety of regions like Chiapas, Veracruz, and Oaxaca. The pastries were also top notch, we enjoyed the carrot cake. I was glad the music was gentle and not too loud, allowing us to have a conversation. We will definitely come back!

This wonderful and unassuming coffee shop became part of our daily routine during our week long stay in the area. Met a few interesting folks who helped us bridge the language gap. Coming from a city with many local roasters (Victoria BC), we were really pleased when a local recommendation to visit this place was right on target. Bought some coffee to enjoy back home and share with some of our barista friends.
