Compelling history, fascinating and numerous structures dating back to late 1500's, spread out over a movie-set landscape and narrated by knowledgeable and helpful guides. Perfect way to spend a couple of hours. Loved the open mine shafts, coke ovens, long vent shaft building, and what once was part of the underground mine but is now an exposed open pit ravine.

great place to visit, a little girl came out to charge us 60 pesos per person and then we were left to explore the mine and buildings on our own. we found a lot of interesting rocks, many buildings you're free to explore and a lot of hidden mine shafts (be careful!). the long building at the end (there's no info so we couldn't find out what it was) and the ovens alone are worth the trip from san Miguel. bring water, hiking shoes, water, long pants and water.

Get your camera for the amazing photo spots. Take your motorcycle, hit the road and get some dust!

Got to Pozos via 3 different buses from San Miguel, which took 3.5 hours total travel time. But to me, all well worth the trip. Great day experience. I Hiked to the mines from centre of Pozos on a beautiful day. Was able to really enjoy the surrounding scenery; many different mature cactus, farming areas, and 360 distant mountain views. Quite an extrodinary experience! After arriving to the site, it was quite amazing. Would totally recommend when visiting the interesting Pueblo of Mineral de Pozos.

Not recommended for family but it is very fun, alot of holes always needed to take care of kids.

Amazing abandoned mines from the 1500s. So much history. You will need a guide to get access to the mine.

It is a beautiful place to visit i really enjoy it, just make sure to bring plenty of water.

Old mining ruins. Interesting photo ops. Very rough road for about 3 miles.

Esta antigua hacienda es espectacular. Tiene mucha historia y bellos vestigios. Tiene un pequeño local para catar mezcal, muy rico.
