They were quite strict about punctuality, but their service was exceptionally friendly. I had no complaints despite my early arrival. Our main server seemed to be training the assistant server, yet both were professional. Necessary items were promptly placed before me without needing to ask. Everything was well-timed, allowing for a smooth dining experience.

The food was evidently crafted with fresh ingredients, and the decoration ideas were intriguing. From the unexpected addition of popcorn on the plates to the artistic presentation of avocado resembling a rainbow, the attention to detail was commendable. I highly recommend trying their salad varieties; from the tomatoes to the greens, every ingredient was exceptionally fresh.

The meat was cooked to perfection as requested and paired well with the sauces. It’s evident that the effort was made to express a variety of flavors and textures on a single plate. While slightly out of the city center, it’s a place worth recommending.

Sud 777 is currently the No. 70 best restaurant on The Worlds 50 Best list, and currently the No. 31 best restaurant on Latin Americas 50 Best list.

Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. The restaurant is gorgeous, and a hidden gem. Super chic, and modern design. The service is impeccable. The food incredible. Some of the most unique and delicious plates I’ve had.

It’s far from the center and our very good native friends invited us to dine with them on their favorite spots in CDMX,
60 minutes in traffic we were considering was it wise to accept the dinner invitation?
Once we arrived and opted for the tasting menu, from the very first course we were blown away, each course was breathtakingly unique and most of it plant based apart from meat options. It has vegetarian menu and course. Each item is unique and bursting with flavors.
I would highly recommend this place and do note to plan ahead. Traffic at times in CDMX is dicey. Enjoy the meal you won’t be disappointed

Great ambience. Excellent service. Reasonable priced menu. The bbq octopus is made just right, tender, and has a charr flavor. Scallop is chopped but you can tell they were big in size. Sea bass cooked correct, sauce has noodle in it. Beef tongue is tender. They will also make custom drinks if you order.

Lovely and very special dinner, blending mexican flavours with modern gastronomy. We loved the beet and the juice pairing!

Everything was incredible. A true experience. My husband and I got both the juice & wine pairing, and I would highly recommend. The juice concoctions were delightful.

Came here for my boyfriend's birthday lunch and it was such a delightful experience. We got the tasting menu with the juice pairings and we were blown away.

The staff was able to clearly and concisely describe each dish in English to us and were so friendly and kind when serving us. The chef also signed a birthday card for my boyfriend and came out to personally serve us one of the dishes and explain it to us.

Each dish was such a delightful experience and the flavors were so innovative. We loved every bit of this well-designed experience and we would 100% recommend this experience to anyone and everyone! Well worth the money, as we were so full near the end.

The staff also brought out an extra birthday dessert for my boyfriend. It was such a kind and sweet gesture!

Hands down top 2 meals of my life. The attention to detail, the service, the flavors happening in this food… ALL are top notch and what you should expect when paying this amount. But seriously. This is some of the finest crafted food and flavor profiles that I’ve ever had (I’m a chef that’s eaten across the globe). The tasting menu was exquisite. The wine pairings perfect. 5 stars and also to our server Leo. Amazing all around.

Beautiful restaurant, well designed with every corner having a particular design. The tasting menu was well balanced and good pairings. The menu for me was missing one dish though to not have the pairings hit so hard and the pacing was a bit too fast for the first 4 courses and often found myself rushing to finish the wine since the next was being poured. But the pairings were all Mexican wines which was exactly what we were hoping for and the deserts for me were outstanding. Overall great

Easily in the top 10 restaurants in Latin America. Sud 777 will beat out the other local top spots soon enough as Chef Nunez’s creativity soars Sud to the peak of culinary heights. Worth a trip to Mexico City just to eat here. 5 stars.

Gorgeous place. Special environment and certainly they deserve the credit . We had couple of hiccups with the food and the team both kitchen and floor were so gracious and caring about it which , it made us love the place even more.

Biggest highlight was the onion soup ! Memorable dish

After our disappointing evening at Pujol, the world's supposedly #5 restaurant according to the 50 Best Restaurants list, I kept my hopes low for this one. I was wrong. Maybe 50 Best made a mistake, and mixed up the numbers, because this one was excellent! I was between a 5/5 and 4/5, and decided that the food here deserves a 5/5.

The location is a bit far, it took us about 45' to get there by taxi - don't get me started on Mexico City traffic. The ambiance is nice, nothing special, and our table felt a bit chilly. We had booked the 12 course tasting menu, and I really did not have high hopes.

Service was polite, consistent and well timed. At no point were we left waiting too long between dishes.

The food had a couple of OK (3/5) dishes, but was mostly great (4/5) and excellent (5/5). It combined style and substance, with very well picked ingredients that were full of flavor, and executed nearly perfectly.

If you visit Mexico City and want a gourmet meal after all the tacos and street food, book here, not Pujol, for modern Mexican cuisine done right!

Not to be missed! One of the most successfully creative tasting menus anywhere. They need 2 stars and you at their table. We will be going back!

A great experience, some dishes work better then others but overall a solid tasting menu. Highlights were the cabrito taco and the honeydew and mole as well as the chayote and pepian. The wine pairing is a must as they have some really good Mexican wines that pair very well with the food they accompany.

Our reservation was set weeks before our visit to Mexico City and it was nice to walk to the restaurant to be greeted as if they we’re waiting for us. We found this location based on a recommendation from Open Table which gives you suggestions based on previous visits. It was definitely a great recommendation.

We traveled here with friends and set the plans for our lunch here. We were received by a charming host who introduced our server who immediately suggested great beverages based on each personality. The server had a great sense of humor and attention to detail. We got into great conversation and forgot to take pictures of the main courses.

The restaurant had a very comfortable chill vibe. We are in the restaurant service industry and asked for a tour of the restaurant. To our surprise, we even got to see the kitchen. And it was a delightful experience.

Thank you to all the staff for being so accommodating 🙏. The food was delicious. The presentation was impressive. The interior was fresh and appealing.

Really great experience overall! Excellent and creative food and top notch service in a beautiful restaurant setting. The restaurant is a little off the beaten path but totally worth it for the experience! I decided to do a la cart instead of the tasting menu and everything I had was delicious! Really tasty cocktails as well! One of the best margaritas I’ve had!

With a stylish modern feel, you still feel immediately comfortable when walking into Sud 777. Although quite large, each table is placed to make you feel tucked away in your own corner to enjoy the delicious food and impeccable service! I made my own tasting menu, and the staff would seemlessly take away plates and set up the the next in a speedy and non invasive manner. Great place to enjoy the outdoors, or dine inside and just look out and feel the breeze. The food was extraordinary- I loved the special care in presentation as well. Definitely a great place to check out!

In summary, Sud 777 was an absolutely amazing experience, and I would strongly recommend coming here if you are visiting Mexico City. We were a large party, so took about four hours to complete the tasting menu, and all walked away quite happy with both the food and the wine pairing. The restaurant itself was also quite beautiful.

As with any tasting menu, there were some strong and weak points. Some of the highlights were the initial trio of appetizers (pictured), which were all quite interesting in their own way. We also all quite liked the sea urchin + avocado (pictured), the mango dish was absolutely amazing, and the cut of beef & black cod was also very good. Considering the length of the menu, it's hard to list everything that we enjoyed.

Of all of the dishes, the tomato was a bit weak, and while I appreciated the idea behind the cheesecake + red sauce, most of us didn't particularly enjoy it.

Mexico City is in many ways to me similar to San Sebastian. You could spend your entire trip eating delicious food without going to fine restaurants - but if you are looking for the experience of one, I would strongly recommend Sud 777.

The freshest tasting menu I’ve encountered - and so, so fun! We were constantly surprised every time a new dish would come out what unexpected flavors intertwined, particularly the avocado with chamomile and strawberries was a perfectly balanced combination not only because of the flavors, but the extremely high, intentional quality of the ingredients.

Our favorite was the black cod, cucumber and coriander with peanut. The peanut reminded a lot of my favorite dish, kare kare, in Filipino cuisine which was a lovely surprise.

Although I don’t drink, I shared the wine pairings and was surprised how intentionally tasteful each of the glasses of wine/sake complimented. Fantastic value and was surprising that it came with every single dish and dessert so I’d recommend even sharing it with your partner/another person if you’re a lightweight like me ☺

Would come back again - especially with a big group!
