Mercado Martinez has great authenic food. Excellent vakue and authentic vibe .Get there before the hipsters spoil the place.

Yes yes yes! Go!! It's a local market and you can buy anything and everything from socks to candy to fruits and veg to ice cream to juices fish. There is a "food court" of sorts. All the stores are sort of grouped near each other (fish stands with fish stands meat stands etc) but its fun to look shop for things you need (or might have forgotten) and eat with the locals.

I stopped by a stall serving soup and sopes and it was one of the best meals in Mexico City.

Great place to shop for fresh veggies and meat. Also, there are a lot of eating places from tacos to seafood. I also buy pet food here. Not aesthetically pleasing like a chain store but a lot of variety and great prices.

Really nice place to visite if your looking for a cheap meal and really nice flavors in their kitchens also everything inside is fresh such as fruit,meat and seafood.

One of the most traditional markets, a place where you can go just for lunch or go and buy your groceries and veggies. Visit La Corcholata tacos and ask for an Horchata water, just delicious.

Very old Mexican market for produce, dairy, meat, etc. a truly example of what a market looks like in downtown Mexico. Go there and be transported back in time 50's - 60's
