I am filled up. I laughed and cried and had leaking eyes during the 1st acoustic exhibit. Plus the bird watching surrounding museum and curation was awesome.

Will return absolutely and the permanent exhibits were closed so... Must return as many have recommended.

A weird, wonderful and thought-provoking museum.

From exhibits about the tragedies in Kosovo to live performances about the conception of the artist, this place is sure to delight.

Wonderful. Amazing exhibition of an artist from Kosovo. Magical. Love the store also. Got some cool stuff. Not expensive and definitely worth it.

One of my favorite museums in Mexico City. We spent a month in the city and went to several. Very inspired by the exhibits, one was an immersive musical experience combined with art. Have never experienced anything like it. Also free on Sundays.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at this museo. They had two immersive/interactive elements which I really enjoyed; both of which were musical ensembles. If you are looking for audio/visual art exhibitions, I’d highly recommend this museo

Stunning, well curated art museum in a beautiful setting and architecture. Highly recommend. Did not understand the importance of rufino tamayo until visited. He is among the best muralists and artists in Mexico.

Don't miss the video art in the blackout rooms. Very completely cool. Made me wish I had done some mind altering substances before entry. Great installation art throughout. Not a big place, but very very much worth the visit this week. Roving live installation art/music too. Very, entirely enjoyable.

Pros.
1. Creative artworks.
2. Free admission for students.

Con.
They spaced out artworks so much so actually not many things to see.

An exceptional and world class contemporary art museum set within a beautiful park. The exhibits were thought provoking and engaging and included some of the best written descriptions of the installations I have seen anywhere in the world. Highly recommend!

gorgeous brutalist building in the centre of a park exhibiting an exquisite selection of international modern art - founded by the mexican artist Mr.Tamayo and he achieved exactly what he set out to do. If you don’t jive with conceptual or multi media art, this isn’t for you.

First time here and what a delightful experience. Architecturally talking the building is excellent. Clean lines with tons of different textures. On the other hand the work in there is quite appealing and relevant. Modern and contemporary art. One day of the week entry is free. Don't forget to check the restaurant upstairs because it is delicious!

Really great museum. Plenty of exhibitions inside a beautiful building. There are about 4 video installations, some up to an hour long so you could be here for hours if you'd like. The videos don't have english subtitles which was a bummer.

Quintessential art museum where you get to see the genius of Tamayo plus whatever is on…
On the outside there’s a Fantastic Chadwick, Sosnowska & other sculptures
If you enjoy modern art this is an absolute must. Plus you get the architecture of Teodoro González de León

Outstanding contemporary art museum. Cool building for fans of good Brutalist architecture. Named for the famous Oaxacan Modernist Painter.

Note that it doesn't show a permanent collection, so check and make sure you are interested in what is on exhibit, changes often.

Easy walk to the MoMA across the street, you can definitely visit both in a few hours.

One of the best museums in cdmx. Mostly dedicated to temporary contemporary art exhibits, some interesting, others not much. They also show every now and then interesting works from their Tamayo's permanet collection. But the best work of art is the Museum building itself, an icon of Mexican architecture by Zabludovsky & González.

The exhibit about Ragnar Kjartansson is exactly what curating modern art should be. The museum is overall a quiet and contemplative space, thanks in large part to the lovely brutalist edifice it occupies.
