La Concheria

This is a super high quality and legitimate restaurant not too fancy on appearance because they care more about legitimate quality and customer care vs marketing (which is exactly what I look for). I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a real deal ultra fresh and quality seafood experience. Their stuff does not come from mercado negro it comes from better than that. I had amazing abalone and local catch sea-bass-like dish. See photos for location because it’s not easy to locate (as most legit places usually are). My food and service was truly amazing.

Delicious seafood, cold dishes got served fast, but the hot dishes took awhile.

Environment is great. Rustic feel, brick road and walls.

The agua chile was delicious.

This is a place for delicatessens.
I had a clam showder really worth it. It will always be my favorite.
My son had a seafood pasta, with shrimps and octopus. Its sause was delicious.

They really know what they do.

This is one of the best, if not the best, meals of my life. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food and drink is all locally sourced as well as cooked and flavored to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate.The chef is humble and executed every dish perfectly. We left full and satisfied but not bloated. This will be a staple stop any time I visit Ensenada and I cannot wait until my next experience here.

I’ve had a lot of seafood dishes in my life. And the meal I had here was one of the best in my life.

We started with the yellowtail sashimi which was the perfect texture. Then I enjoyed the seared tuna with salad and it was absolute perfection! Amazing flavors, textures, all in an unpretentious environment with very reasonable prices.

I highly recommend that you eat here!

GREAT fresh seafood here at this cozy spot in the middle of a the tourist area. So nice to have a great food option amongst so many bad food places. Service was great as well..cant wait to go back!

We had an amazing lunch at La Concheria. Superb quality fresh seafood and fish, well prepared. Chef Roberto is a true master in the kitchen. A must go to for seafood lovers.

This place is so good. Over the top. Chef Roberto has something really special going here. The food is so fresh and delicious. Take the time to stop by and if it’s after 5 cruise over to La bête noire for a quick cocktail and some music after. 10/10.

I miss fresh seafood so much in Ohio that when I disembarked from the cruise ship around 10am, that's all I hunted for. La Concheria is exactly what I wanted and far exceeded my expectations. This is not a fish fry; this is fresh, quality shellfish, among other catches.

We arrived just as the restaurant was opening and we're immediately seated by the genuinely friendly owner. The chef hadn't arrived yet but the sous whipped up our meal very quickly on a little four-burner stove behind the bar.

The octopus and fish ceviche was perfect - the best octopus we've had since a trip to Italy two years ago. I hate onions but I barely noticed them, and it was demolished so quickly I forgot to take a photo of the beautiful melange. The pasta was full of prawns, clams and octopus in a white wine pesto sauce that was perfectly seasoned. I usually find restaurant food a bit bland and season myself. Not needed here.

We hung out for awhile, chatting up the staff and enjoying the free WiFi. If you're looking for a quality seafood restaurant, look no further! Bonus: this is probably the best value-for-dollar meal we have ever had, anywhere.

Seafood Pasta and Clam Chowder were both fantastic. Small but cute spot. Will be back.

Beautiful restaurant, referred to us by a local as their favourite restaurant. It’s like they know they don’t need to advertise. Our favourite meal during the month spent in Ensenada. Amazing seafood with friendly staff. Unpretentious just high quality fresh seafood.

It's relatively new at least in this location, inside of Santo Tomás complex in downtown. It's awesome,unpretentious, great service and really fresh produce. We need more places like this in Ensenada

The best mariscos (seafood) in a city full of great options. The food is fresh and most importantly tastes phenomenal. Local wine and local beer is served too. The plaza where it's located is pedestrian friendly with lots of old charm. It has a great selection of local coffee, ice cream a bakery and other shops.

Take a stroll outside of the typical tourists hot spots and go for an authentic experience.

When you remember a delicious meal from a few years ago you wonder if it was the food, or the ambiance, or the great day that you had with friends that made everything so excellent.

When you return to that restaurant with high expectations, you sometimes doubt your memories.

I can say without a doubt that I wasn't deceiving myself. La Concheria has the best seafood I've ever had in my life. Everything is fresh, full of flavor and presented perfectly with amazing service. I don't know how often the Michelin reviewers make it to this part of Ensenada, but if they haven't been yet, they're in for a wonderful treat.

La Concheria will remain a staple for every time we visit the city, we still talk about the steamed muscles and ceviche almost a week later.

Best spot for seafood in Ensenada. In a town with amazing produce, its a huge accomplishment. Wine list needs some work, but other than that this place is brilliant.

The best and freshest seafood around. Great wine and even better prices. Chef Roberto is a genius! His sashimi plates are always different and each one seems better than the last. I highly recommend.

I can see why this place has a 4.6 star rating. It is EXCELLENT. If you want real, fresh mariscos, go here. Friendly service, clean, and ceviche that is the best. the Kamamoto oysters were excellent also.
